you're going the wrong way lol. You can get train marrickville 1.13pm to central (12mins) then central to paramatta 1.42 to Parra (31min). 59min trip even with a 17min wait
How can it take 49min to accor when its only a 12min train trip Marickville to central station according to NSW transport?

You can forget about the 12min trip from Marrickville to Central most weekends as that line almost always has track work for the conversion to the Metro line, there is no way a rail replacement bus takes 12 mins to get into Central from Marrickville.

What is NRL standard?

Has it ever been written down
No because some clubs wouldn't meet it, then the NRL would have to do something about it!

Should be min. 22kish capacity with 80% of that seating undercover as start.

It must be hard for some to understand, this isn’t park football , the ground isn’t up to NRL standard. That is why you haven’t played a home final there in 15 seasons. Not about the money it’s about the spectacle
Yet we are playing NRL games there. Funny that.

I would have thought sharks fans would want to play at Allianz if they got to host week 1, surely 20k + crowd makes an even more intimidating atmosphere than 12k at shark park? Plus you lock out a heap of fans with that low capacity figure.

I'm keen to come down from Brissy for it but 12k seats is going to make tickets a pain to get even with Cowbs membership ticket priority.

To get Canberra upgraded probably will require Federal funding as the ACT Government (regardless of party in office) does not have great financial resources compared to many State Governments.

True that. Notwithstanding their reticence beyond the financials.

If the federal government wants to fund a massive fumbleball stadium in Tasmania (in a place which has less than half the population of the ACT) there is definitely an argument for them to fund/partially fund an upgrade in Canberra.

Not holding my breath though

I understand while the construction is going on you play with the reduced capacity for league games but surely you have more than 12k fans that want to go to this game plus sponsors/potential future sponsors that are going to miss out. You are going to play an interstate team and have the home ground advantage anyway. Let’s hope the cowboys hold on to 2nd spot so we don’t have to worry about it

The Sharks have made a fortune surrounding their ground with apartment towers yet haven’t used any of that money to upgrade the stadium or increase the capacity. Unfortunately anyone who knows the sharks fans knows the 11,500 they’ll get at Shark Park will be the same or better than what they’d get at Allianz.

think it could be a massive crowd at SFS if roosters don’t finish 5/6 it will be neutrals first opportunity to go to the new stadium with the first game sold out , I would consider going if my team doesn’t get a home Final in first week

They've spent most of it paying off debts and buying more pokies. Didn't leave much to upgrade the stadium unfortunately.

Nrl keep all the profits from finals games

they aren’t going to give up the extra million plus a final at Allianz over shark park will deliver

they have to also service their corporate sponsors and Allianz fits the bill perfectly
