From the council website

Our organisation's mission is to implement Council’s strategy and program, through skilled and responsive management, by valuing our staff, partnerships and community involvement, by providing quality customer service and upholding ethical standards and behaviour. The community’s vision is one of a sustainable and prosperous Regional City with a harmony of urban and rural qualities.

My point was to show how big of an area will be serviced by the facilities put out there

Last I checked, Penrith council ends at Emu Plains, not Katoomba. You could have just said it is 60kms away rather than try to exaggerate.

Except we are on a Rugby League website and this team is in the Penrith District JRL

then of course should you need a Hospital in Penrith, It will be run by Nepean Blue Mountain Health services

So just like the MacArthur region covers Campbelltown/Camden etc.

Nepean district covers Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains and Penrith. IF the Stadium goes ahead it is for the whole region, Including the areas above

Interesting tid bit is taken from this article - https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...s/news-story/f57af52b07453295bd7496a138f30751

The Rabbitohs have reportedly attempted to back out of their contract with the state government and Venues NSW after funding was pulled which was set to refurbish Accor Stadium.

“We signed a long-term deal back in 2016 with Accor Stadium management at the time based on a significant redevelopment of Accor, which at that time, was a knockdown rebuild,” Rabbitohs chief executive Blake Solly said.

“Now the Government has confirmed Accor Stadium won’t be redeveloped, it’s our view that we should be able to move to Allianz Stadium, where the Government has invested $800m.

“We’re just asking for a fair and reasonable outcome for our members and fans.”

I still think the best place to put a stadium is around the Western Sydney Parklands, shame they missed the boat.

Intersection of M4 and M7 (with easy links to the M5 and M2). Not far from Penrith and close to stations (circled in red). Would service outer Western Sydney well. As someone from the Blue Mountains who regularly uses the M7 bike path, I'd much prefer the drive to the M7 than navigating Mulgoa Road on a busy day.

Wtf.... commbank is litterally in the centre of parra, basically 10mins drive away from your circled line, the whole point of a stadium in penrith is to have it IN PENRITH, not 25 east of it, to suit some joint tennant/ venue narrative

Well it is to service the soon to be heavily populated Hawkesbury, Nepean, MacArthur, Blue Mountains area.

The Panthers are the only sporting club out there, 2 hotels across the road. So makes sense to be in Penrith, Given the Tigers are inner West

Just stating that ground is to service regional areas, Choose any point and the distance to the CBD is huge.

Whether the Stadium happens or not, There will still be spend on Entertainment venues out there.

Qudos Arena cost $200m to build in the late 90's, So even going down that route ends up around the same. With no regular content also
