Now it can't be done, but fifteen years ago a rail line should have gone that direction with the M7.
There is going to be a train line run in that direction (North - south), but 5km to the west.

From the council website
Our organisation's mission is to implement Council’s strategy and program, through skilled and responsive management, by valuing our staff, partnerships and community involvement, by providing quality customer service and upholding ethical standards and behaviour. The community’s vision is one of a sustainable and prosperous Regional City with a harmony of urban and rural qualities.
My point was to show how big of an area will be serviced by the facilities put out there
Last I checked, Penrith council ends at Emu Plains, not Katoomba. You could have just said it is 60kms away rather than try to exaggerate.
Except we are on a Rugby League website and this team is in the Penrith District JRL

then of course should you need a Hospital in Penrith, It will be run by Nepean Blue Mountain Health services
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (LHD) consists of both urban and semi-rural areas, covering almost 9,179 square kilometres.www.nbmlhd.health.nsw.gov.au
So just like the MacArthur region covers Campbelltown/Camden etc.
Nepean district covers Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains and Penrith. IF the Stadium goes ahead it is for the whole region, Including the areas above
If you were Harry T..
Wouldn't it be tempting just to buy Leichhardt
The Rabbitohs have reportedly attempted to back out of their contract with the state government and Venues NSW after funding was pulled which was set to refurbish Accor Stadium.
“We signed a long-term deal back in 2016 with Accor Stadium management at the time based on a significant redevelopment of Accor, which at that time, was a knockdown rebuild,” Rabbitohs chief executive Blake Solly said.
“Now the Government has confirmed Accor Stadium won’t be redeveloped, it’s our view that we should be able to move to Allianz Stadium, where the Government has invested $800m.
“We’re just asking for a fair and reasonable outcome for our members and fans.”
Wtf.... commbank is litterally in the centre of parra, basically 10mins drive away from your circled line, the whole point of a stadium in penrith is to have it IN PENRITH, not 25 east of it, to suit some joint tennant/ venue narrativeI still think the best place to put a stadium is around the Western Sydney Parklands, shame they missed the boat.
Intersection of M4 and M7 (with easy links to the M5 and M2). Not far from Penrith and close to stations (circled in red). Would service outer Western Sydney well. As someone from the Blue Mountains who regularly uses the M7 bike path, I'd much prefer the drive to the M7 than navigating Mulgoa Road on a busy day.

Gold Coast had the a league club as well originallySure, they are not in Brisbane. But what was the business case for those two stadiums? A business case that Penrith could replicate?
Accor sucks nearly as much as suburban dumps!Dogs / Tigers - Accor
Souths / roosters - Allianz
Eels - CommBank
stick to it for 5 years
There 5 problems fixed in Sydney RL

Roosters didn't build it, so what Politis thinks is irrelevant.Don’t need to read the preceding 1178 pages. This is why Sydney will never sort out it’s NRL stadiums. What a joke.Roosters warn Souths over new stadium, Rabbitohs coach to miss grudge match
There has been a fresh twist in the turf war over Allianz Stadium, a match that Rabbitohs coach Jason Demetriou won’t be able to attend due to COVID-19.www.smh.com.au
