I'm sure lots of people like that, but my experience is much different. I'm a Queenslander in Canberra and the majority of my mates here are too - and, we love the cold. I would say that we are actually more active in the winter and take advantage of not being subjected to insufferable humidity during our 3-5 years here. We'll be going to almost all the Raiders games this winter, the only thing that will stop us is rain. There're many reasons why a roof would be ideal in Canberra, but the main reasons why you'd want a roof in Canberra are-
2. The majority of Canberra's population has immigrated to the city from other parts of the country and are soft-cocks that think 20°C is cold. The thought of being outside in temperatures as low as -5°C is unbearable to them no matter the coverage. Lots of traveling fans are turned off by the low temperatures as well.
Went there once and saw all there was to see in half a day and left. The irony is you just came out with the same stereotypical view of AdelaideRegurgitating the stereotypical view

The joke.... I spent a week in Sadelaide one day barely covers it
Im sure with your boundless experience of the place , all 4 hrsSo what are all these hidden competing attractions in Canberra? Watching your paint dry?
yeh its almost like your ignoring any competent organisation would have got a contract with the govt lolYou should work for a politician with your ability to spin crap
Perrotet lied then backtracked
it's the wind from the Monaro Valley that gets you. The wind comes up the valley from the snowy mountains straight into Canberra and makes it feel 5 degrees colder than what it is.I'm sure lots of people like that, but my experience is much different. Mind you, us Queenslanders are pretty active and would attend the opening of an envelope if it meant time with good mates, good food and good drink.
PS: Canberra's new stadium obviously needs a roof tho haha
What’s wrong with the cricket ground?yeh its almost like your ignoring any competent organisation would have got a contract with the govt lol
AFL: build a quality stadium and we will invest $360mill in Tasmania to grow the game and make it a success
NRL: slap some lipstick on these pigs or else we will take the GF away you lying dogs.
Hmmm which tactic one is most likely to work I wonder??
Anthony Albanese is expected to unveil a significant infrastructure investment for Tasmania this weekend that will facilitate the construction of a controversial new stadium in Hobart and enable the state to have a team in the AFL.
Amid hostility to a taxpayer-funded football stadium from the state Labor opposition, the federal Liberals and federal Tasmanian independents Andrew Wilkie and Jacqui Lambie, Mr Albanese is poised to inject as much as $240 million into the project.
The state Liberal government, led by Premier Jeremy Rockliff, will contribute $375 million and the AFL will contribute $15 million.
While there is overwhelming support in Tasmania for the state to have a team in the AFL, it will only be granted if there is a fit-for-purpose stadium.
Mr Rockliff has planned for a stadium to be built at Macquarie Point in Hobart as part of a precinct worth about $715 million.

NFL fans are nuts. Stadiums all across the country with zero roof coverage and they still pack them in in the dead of winter. You said it soft cocks. Look at the Bills fans in the NFL. No roof and they still show up

So the Govt reneging on a deal was going to make V'Landys happy. If someone stabs you in the back on a business deal you would say" no worries all plucking good, that's life".Going to war with the nsw govt and failing to get anything signed off was certainly an interesting relationship building strategy for nsw stadiums lol

Thank you so much!Congratulations on being the exception that proves the rule.
shame he ran the deal like a local hock shop. I mean who agrees a $200mill deal and gets nothing signed? especially with a politician! So the Govt reneging on a deal was going to make V'Landys happy. If someone stabs you in the back on a business deal you would say" no worries all plucking good, that's life".
Seriously it's a multi million dollar business not the local hock shop.
Just ask Froggie Macron about the submarine deal. His response would have been:-
Tu as renie' le marche' menteur'
