No he said they would consider any proposal. In other words he said f**k no
No he didn't, he said if they were offering we would look at aquiring it, but they aint offering, yet so yes he can say yes or no now, there was no mention of a flat out no like what minns was saying in regards to tipping in money

I was playing with the kids but it sure didn't sound like that. I'll find it and have a look

Says karenard from fumbleland f**kwiton, whos probably never been to liechardt oval in his lifetime...
Its run down yes, but a refurbishment could be what make it reedeming and also no one is saying play 12 home games there... its at best 3 with the rest either at allianz, commbank, campbelltown or Accor

Paul kent just mentioned on nrl360 tonight that he had spoken to Peter V'landys and that if the council offered it the NRL would buy it and use it as another assett
That’s not what he said lol.
Kent stated Vlandys said ‘if the council wanted to sell it we would look into it’. Will take all of 2mins to look into it and realise what a Sht investment it would be!

Land in Lilyfield is a sht investment? You've got rocks in your head mate.

Land value alone would outperform docklands AFL asset in capital appreciation

Yeah but what could you actually do with it? Unless it was zoned for residential redevelopment there’s zero chance of turning a profit on it. Kept as a sports ground you’re just spending a fortune on a very expensive site that then needs another fortune spend to upgrade it, which you’d never make back.

They’re not buying it to develop property on!
Do the maths, they’d have to buy it off the council for god knows how much. Then spend $50mill plus on it. For that they’d get around $1mill a year naming rights, $600k-$1mill rental from tigers for 6-10 games. And that’s about it. So how many decades just to pay back the money it originally cost let alone cover investment opportunity lost from spending that money elsewhere and finally it making any profit? It’s ultimate stupid suggestion and never happening.

didnt nrl offer to look at building a stadium for tigers and bulldogs to use?

The land would be worth 100 million
Water views all around

loads of land around the stadium as well plus playing fields and part of the bay run

So buy it, refurbish it for 3 games a year? Are you and @Wb1234 that thick?

Worst investment of all time.

On one side you have the human headline PVL inciting media chat about an off the cuff comment about Leichhardt and on the other side you have the just resigned fumbler CEO being accused in parliament of being complicit in player drug coverups. WADA will be watching that mob closely and asking questions.

Maybe the Tigers should pay attention when they play Penrith in Bathurst.

Temporary Corporate facilities and food lines aren't too bad due to tents.

LO could have similar but they aren't very smart at that club
