The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Was out last night and so many people have heard / read Fitzy's anti-stadia rebuild rant / petition.

They were all "well...he speaks sense". No facts mind you.

Was quite disheartening. And no matter what was mentioned to oppose it, it was a case of "Oh well...$2 billion is a LOT of money. What about schools, hospitals, etc etc?"

And these folks are all RL fans, though I had to laugh when the Para fans piped up about costs and someone stuck it to them with a "you can't talk...you're getting your rebuild, what about the rest of us?!?"

So there's your losing battle right there.

Facts no longer matter.

What matters now is that no tax dollars get spent on anything that doesn't specifically benefit you.

hahaha

the poor old western sydney wanderderpers
where'd all their fans go ??
who wouldn't want to bounce up & down facing away from the field , it looks like so much fun LOL
What would fill all these proposed new stadiums, maybe a return of Gladiators to SWS . . . slavery would have to replace the salary cap of course

Would be easier than finding beds in hospitals

If there is any more infuriating statement than 'my tax dollars' I don't know what it is.

They're not yours dickhead, they're the price you pay for living in a modern cosmopolitan city. And part of that price is event space.

Couldn't help myself. The off season is boring.

Yes it is! Ive noticed I'm watching less free to air tv with no footy about. Wonder if this is just me or many others are less bothered to view tv in general. When the footy is approaching I find myself paying more attention to tv in general. Just a thought.

Yeah I'm like that. I only really watch the cricket in the summer.

I've been watching the A League soccer but not intently. I'll probably watch the mens t20 cricket but thats about it along with the news. Im certain the footy means much more to a tv channel than has been figured! ? Just an observation.
