I’ve never described any stadium as awesome
“ Shit”was the term I think I used for them.
Good for a final or grand final
But a game between Souths and say north qld in the middle of winter and it’s a funeral without the fun bits.

they arent prepared to make an effort to support their team even for finals
thats why the bigger venues are empty
a half full allianz or ANZ is fine for atmosphere & should be what we're getting for most ALL sydney games at least

a half full suburban goat track is an embarrasment & thats what we're getting far too often.

Oh really,already on the way to record membership,sponsorship covered,Centre of Excellence funding approved by the state Govt($8m plus).

Yet the TV stations cited Shark Park as being one of the suburban stadiums where the atmosphere is always strong, compared to expending funds on Centralised Stadiums where the atmosphere is dead.

Says a lot for a team, that the incentive to attend is a combined clap, not apparently the performance of the team.LOL clapping is good for choking.Just LOL. And in an all seater stadium WTF.

kids who haven't been to a Raiders game , or haven't for a long time , go to one of our games
we turn on the theatre , they go & tell their friends how good it was in the school yard etc , their friends tell their parents they want to go now too
The clap is now starting to define the city
Ive been to dinners/ functions , nothing to do with football either , where everyone has got up & done an impromptu clap , awesome stuff.
my sons rep touch team always gets off their bus , & does the clap apon arrival , it
goes down a treat with the other teams & it looks like my daughters team looks like they'll start doing it too.

It's funny cause my whole life people have been complaining that there's no atmosphere at RL games, then when somebody actually tries to change that they get bagged into oblivion for it.

Seems to me that we've finally found out why there's no atmosphere at sports games in this country...

Because the ones we have arent awsome, they are dog shit...

However, just because there arent any good stadiums in Sydney now doesnt mean there are no good designs in the whole wide world. Nor does it mean Sydney's stadiums will always be sit.

I will never understand Sydney RLs love for mediocracy. Not only do you not make good things happen, you laugh at the people who try to do it for you.
