Penrith - All Penrith

I cant believe Penrith would keep playing at that freezing cold shit hole when the best rectangular stadium in the country is 10 minutes down the road.
They should play out of WSS.
If they are worried about their pokie machines then do a deal with Parra Leagues to lease a level on game day or something. One level of Parra Leagues should be leased to NSW Leagues club who then divide whatever they make up between the league clubs that feel like they are missing out from home games near their club.

Parra - 11 WSS, 1 NT
Tigers - 11 WSS, 1 Tamworth
Penrith - 11 WSS, 1 Bathurst
Dogs - 11 WSS, 1 where ever.

With that picture of WSS, since the cricket field out the back is looking too much like an AFL oval the NRL should buy it and build a club/hall of fame/headquarters there.

I haven’t lived in Sydney for 15 years, but unless there’s been a bullet train service built between Penrith and Parra in my absence, than your 10min quote is utter horseshit.

I'm going to Sydney in a couple of weeks and I'm planning on going to Penrith to watch the Panthers. Is there express trains from the city out west

There’s a few sprinters from memory but you won’t get a non-stop service all the way out to Penrith. Give yourself about an hour 20mins to get to Penrith station from Central and about 25mins to walk to the ground.

Its actually a good little ground to watch footy at.

I am pre planning and giving myself a couple of hours at the very least to get there. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Panthers and I’m really excited to see a game there.

Once you are on the motorway it is about 15 minutes.

Is it really 10 mins away? I thought it was much further. If that's the case it's a no brainer to play at WSS

Not sure Penrith will build that wider fanbase appeal outside of their region so makes sense for them to stay where they are. With their pokie empire fanbase and corporate support seems less an imperative. If we end up with Wests, dogs and eels calling WSS home it will be a major step forward for the game in Sydney. Those 3 clubs have broad city wide appeal and could easily hit 20k in a state of the art 30k stadium.

Penrith should stay at Penrith. Our last trip there we were staying in Sutherland and drove to Penrith. Only took an hour or so and got to park right against the ground. Only took us a total of 5 minutes to get into the ground. Great little ground and will be an asset for the Panthers into the future.

The sad thing about what you say is that there are literally hundreds of stadiums around the world like this. Yes, this will be the best small rectangular stadium in Australia, even better than Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
It's embarrassing that some are still discussing how great grass hills are. FMD.
It also just goes to show how backward we are in this country sometimes and how we have let suburban grounds end up in the current state they are and some fans still find them acceptable.

in this country ?

no , only in NSW
every other state has evolved

it still takes about an hour to get from Campbelltown to Parramatta
this notion that there should be no games out there is folly seeing as their leagues club is a major financial backer of the joint venture
it should be 3 at Campbelltown & 1 at Leichardt & 8 at WSS

the 4 at the suburban grounds should all be out of town opponents too if possible all on weekends & promoted heavily

The leagues club is not a backer of the club at all?
