Sorry it was my effort at sarcasm.

Snide remarks about ‘JT said so’ and the fact you haven’t been up there for a game shows a bit of ignorance.
It's 2000km for goodness sake. Last time I was there was before the Cowboys had played a game but I did buy a t-shirt. Penrith Park is OK. It could be bigger, but the local council has to pay for it and we don't ask a contribution from the rest of the state. I don't go to the footy to drink beer so can't comment on that.

lol

wtf is your idea of a few
Well the Titans started in 2007 and it was built after that, so a decade or so I'd guess.

People here are so snarky about the SFS issue. There is huge opposition to it in the community in NSW. Most of us are not happy to subsidise private businesses or facilities for the wealthy. This appears likely to bring about a change of government soon where they appeared unbeatable not so long ago.

I don’t really understand what point you’re making about town hall.
The public transport in Sydney is dire, town hall station doesn’t even come close to being a priority for me.
Like SFS isn't a priority for me, I guess.

I contribute to Penrith Park and don't really use it?

A stadium is for everybody and is government owned and operated, it's not for "private business and the wealthy".

Your wasting your time with this one taipan old mate; once the "we're getting soft" line comes out you may as well leave them their halycon memories that are dwindling into dementia.

You may like getting showered with the wet stuff, but families generally don't.

I love the water and surfing, but I do it where it's supposed to be done, not at a dilapidated SFS, with dunnies that are pathetic for women, roof coverage non existent and insufficient exits in case of an emergency ,apart from structural issues.
Not a case of getting softer case of 21st century expectations from the majority of people who attend venues.

If it bucketed down - you would stand solo under your golf umbrella and stay pretty dry

But golf umbrellas are no longer allowed in stadiums as people behind you cant see and get wet

So you only have a poncho option or move seats to a GA zone under shelter

Or sit at home in front of your TV

The last para, which is what a lot of families do nowadays.
