Good, hopefully the perception (and reality) of Pirtek being solely Parra's home ground can be overcome. Some Bulldogs, Wests and Panthers home games should all be taken there.

If both teams are on top of the ladder.

It depends, if they go the reciprocal rights path for these games then its a packed stadium every time, if not then yeah form will come into play.

I hope the teams that bring games to these new stadiums go the reciprocal rights path, memberships become great value and the stadiums look great when full.

haha us at Parra Stadium won't work. lets see how many Panthers fans go to the game on Sunday. I guess around 2k. Far better off having those 2 games in Bathurst and Christchurch as we have now

Possible Penrith stadium

Even as a panthers fan I'm surprised we could get a stadium such as Parra. Parramatta has the distinct advantage of having two permanent tenants , can't see how Penrith can jusitfy a similar stadium.

Don't get me wrong I'd love it for my club but it just doesn't seem to add up.

Not set in stone exactly where it is going yet. I think out near the new airport will work so many more population going out west can be useful just need to line up more tennants though

So is it just Eels games we'll take there? If so, that's stupid - Basically gifting them a home advantage - If we play other teams there it's just as stupid as you'd have little to no fans going to a rivals stadium to watch a "home" game.

I'm not going to watch the Sharks play footy at ANZ or SFS or Allianz or wherever
Why the f**k should I?
Because you like watching your preferred team play rugby league

I don't support a team that is in a bitch of a place for to get to.
I thought you supported the sharks

It'll be on TV...A big stadium with nobody in it will look shit on TV ...Just like it does every single weekend they show a game there .
Looks just as shit as Shark park with nobody in it

My team will still get paid to play there.
It will be a novelty for them to make some money

I really don't understand why people think this will be a good thing?
Because the government wants to spend some money to make the current stadiums better

We can barely get people to home grounds as is, why would less people, in a bigger stadium, be better?
If they get a good deal - less people in a bigger stadium would mean the club gets more money on game day
Also if the stadiums are improved it may mean more people not less

The Dogs and Rabbits already get this sort of advantage that you talk about.

Gould is willing to make a sacrifice by taking games to Pirtek and i am sure he would like to make a pretty penny also.

If he wants to make good coin out of these games then he will take his games against the Eels and Tigers to Pirtek.

Souths and Dogs are a decent option also but i do not think they will pull a crowd like the Eels or Tigers at Pirtek.

Gould is playing a long game here and he also understands the importance of this stadium funding to the NRL, well done Gus.

Seems like a whole bunch of NIMBYs in here. All happy to get funding for stadiums, but as soon as they realise there might be a bit of hurt for them, all hell breaks loose.
