theyll never move there full time. the 2 years was a mistake and management knows that now.
the people voted with their feet and wallets, covid aside.
Besides the club is moving forward with their own upgrade plans at Shark Park, they aren't moving. First stages will be completed before next season but some upgrades include new entrance turnstiles and outer facilities in the NE corner and center of eastern side directly from the new leagues club, all of the hill being refurbed for food trucks and being terraced in the both corners so to complement the new hill surrounds (from the development) in line with the separate COE plans (which wrap around, extend and join the southern and ET stands) and proposals currently before by State and Federal Government.

It absolutely wasn't a mistake.

They had to move so construction could go ahead faster, we were paid to close down our leagues club which worked well for us financially.

Besides the last 2 seasons have been largely interrupted by COVID. If ever you want to move away from your home it's during the last 2 seasons when the whole comp moved up to QLD or crowds weren't allowed.

Could they have moved more games interstate etc sure, but they weren't to know how rubbish Sharks fans are.

Happy for as many new stadiums as we can get , but if we're restricted by a budget , & we are, then the one or two we get have to be where they are most needed. 2 teams needing a suburban rectangle venue playing 20 odd games at the new venue is better then half that amount for 1 team. Other " events" will be held at the liverpool stadium too so thats not a legit argument for penrith to be ahead of it.

But , the govt will decide where the venues are built & penrith seemingly will benefit from a bit of pork barreling & good luck to them , its another top notch venue into the stable for the NRL.
Not where it should be , but ... better then nothing.

lets just hope the stupid roof at homebush doesn't go ahead , because we might just have enough in the kitty to get penrith & liverpool new venues
& upgrades to brookvale & kogarah for 800 million
just...

I get what you are saying but they aren't going to build build build, the fact is there is finite funding and this new Penrith stadium just doesn't pass the acid test.
But somehow the SFS rebuild did? Get real! The heartland of NSW RL deserves a stadium more than anobody else!

the difference is docklands has about 6 AFL clubs playing out of it as well as cricket & the occasional a league game , where as the liverpool venue would only have 2 NRL clubs , maybe with an A league side using it too but thats it
big investment to make for 2 just clubs

There is no value for a major stadium at shark park, I actually wouldn’t want a commbank type ground there. I like it as it is. I didn’t know this information so sounds good.

I’m not anti manly (really I’m not) but why are they a candidate for a new stadium or major upgrade. Who other than them use it as a professional entity?

Penrith 12 games & some fluff
300 million

Manly 12 games & a but less fluff or none at all
100 million

seems fair to me

it actually isn't
Yes it is. If you build 7 stadiums in Liverpool each would have more tenants than Penrith. That doesn’t mean it’s smart.

The reality is. Tigers and Canterbury are close to all seated stadiums with infrastructure being built that will make trips there that can make trips less than ten minutes to all seated stadiums with decent support for disabled people. They’re serviced. Penrith isn’t. That’s why it’s prioritised. Simple
