Spend the money on a real stadium at Homebush, and upgrade Penrith and Brookvale!

The NSW Government will not spend money on stadiums they don't own. Brookvale and Penrith aren't owned by them so don't expect the money from the SFS rebuild to be directed to those stadiums as your dreaming if you think it will happen.

Won’t happen but that has always been the much better scenario. Spending so much on the SFS was always an awful idea.

Hopefully they’ll rethink the whole thing and go for something like bankwest instead which would be far more appropriate.

Won't work, they need a big enough stadium to host the GF and Origin during the ANZ refurbish. You can't host those events at a 30k stadium.

Penrith would rank about 10th in NSW for an upgrade. Newcastle, Wollongong, several bush clubs all rank above.
Maybe if they had of put their hand up for a WNRL team they could have had a better argument but they were to dumb.

But we did that for 2 years while our brilliant stadium was being built for us and our younger geniused brothers Penrith, so yeah we did that.

It would make sense to put an extra 50mill into Newcastle and make it 35k and worthy of hosting for example Leeds United because it would be great for the NSW economy to have Leeds v WSW at Parramatta Stadium then 2 or 3 days later have Leeds v Jets at Knights stadium. Have the English tourists spend 3 days in NSW and actually leave Sydney.

That should have always been the plan. A 35k sfs and a rebuilt 80k state of the art national stadium. Very poor politics will cost Sydney and the country the stadiums it needs.
