Not as bad as the Pom living in Pommy land lecturing us about stadiums in Sydney. Must be a cultural thing. Whinging maybe?Nothing like a Pom from the other side of the country telling people liking in Brisbane what the city needs in the way of a stadium
Dolphins averaged 32 at Lang Park in 2023.Suncorp needs to be around 65k. Anything more and club games become as sht as Sydney ones at accor or allianz when they are less than half full. Broncos generally avg less than 40k and dolphins 25k ish. Neither club look like stretching the capacity anytime soon.
Why not just upgrade the existing stands to incorporate better amenities?Nah, one stand makes perfect sense. It’s an athletics venue, not a footy ground, meaning all the best seats will be one side, where the 100m track and finish lines are. Given the permanent capacity will only be around 14K it makes perfect sense to concentrate all the permanent seating on that side, better spectator experience AND lower maintenance overheads moving forward.
Stadium singular. Not as bad as the Pom living in Pommy land lecturing us about stadiums in Sydney. Must be a cultural thing. Whinging maybe?
I’m guessing they’ve decided they’re too old and crap to bother with? But that’s speculationWhy not just upgrade the existing stands to incorporate better amenities?
Plenty on womens toilets on the upper deckI’m guessing they’ve decided they’re too old and crap to bother with? But that’s speculation
What they're replacing it with won't be great.I’m guessing they’ve decided they’re too old and crap to bother with? But that’s speculation
For the money they’re spending you’d think the new permanent stand they’re building will be pretty good. Unless you have evidence otherwise? What they're replacing it with won't be great.
There will never be more than 1500 people there for any event after the Olympics. They don’t need permanent facilities. Such a waste. For the money they’re spending you’d think the new permanent stand they’re building will be pretty good. Unless you have evidence otherwise?
