Starc gets a lot of guys out clean bowled, I like that and think he's a good choice. He's a million times better than Siddle anyway.

I'll take anyone over Hilfenhaus or Siddle.

In reality they're just keeping the spot warm for Patto when he comes back.

I wonder if we will ever see a pace attack of

Johnson
Cummins
Pattinson
Hazlewood

Every time we get close someone seems to get injured.

Harry will probably give it away after the next Ashes I would imagine.

Cummins can't go a season without f**king his foot or back.

Shame for Harris, he's a class act with the ball - pretty ordinary side tbh, but the Indian attack is pretty ordinary too so might not matter - Shami could be dangerous in Brisbane... I guess much the same way as Starc could be, but at the end of the day neither are terribly good

We're a quality #3 and #5 (pending Clarke's future,) away from a great side. We have plenty of quicks in our stocks (just seems half always seem to be perpetually injured.) I'm still undecided to Lyon, I think he's the best we have to offer but after his effort in Adelaide I'm hoping this can spark a deluge of 5th day wickets. Still lacks variation though which is his biggest weakness, rather than failing to take wickets on crumbling decks.

Situations calling for cries of "Sidds you magnificent Victorian" are becoming fewer and fewer.

He will be back

When Notch retires I reckon Stac will be the 4th and they will be rotated possibly for the next 8-10 years unless some one better comes along but that is a very good pace attack imo and all bowl at 145+.

I also think Stuart Abbott will put some pressure on them or MMarsh as he is only 22 and has already played for AustraliA a few times and the kid can bowl and bat, although he's probabaly a bowling all rounder.

Veggieman is shit but he's still better than India's Hackattack.

They really need Bhuvneshwar Kumar to be fit.

I like that they persevere with Starc. Got the potential to be a great left armer. Just needs to show the same patience towards his bowling as the selectors do towards him.

Reckon Starc could use a season or two in Shield getting to know his game with the red ball.

Starc has played about 3 FC games in over 12 months, his last test match was in the UAE after not playing a FC game in over 12 months. These younger guys just aren't getting enough bowling at FC level these days. Then they wonder why they break down.
