I know they are struggling but that is poor form from Gallen.

You could look at it 2 ways.
A) Poor forum saying what he did in a public forum, he could have then go behind the coaches back to get a replacement ASAP;
B) He was asked a question and answered it openly & honestly in a public forum. Yet we get those in the media about players not being forthright with the media.

I really don't see what the fuss is about.

I'll say this, I reckon the spoon is a harsh price to pay for Cronulla to persist with a coach that has proven to be nothing more or less than average in Shane Flanagan. I would understand if it's just a matter of nobody else wanting the job but the club being so willing to write off the entire 2014 season with a stand in coach who clearly doesn't give a f**k doesn't say much about how much they value satisfying their fans and members.

The board "promised" to do certain things when they went to the election, after conning most of the members, without even knowing what went on with the ASADA crap.

Instead of making the right decision to cut him loose & wipe the slate clean, they wanted to save face & now we are forced to live on with this for 3 more years. I predict we will be gone by then. The club is now at breaking point.

The hardworking old board got ousted but Flanno will be back. Call me cynical but I think Flanno was resigned to avoid legal action. I reckon he & the club came to an "agreement".

I know when you're losing things start to erupt, however the absolute shit that Cronulla players and fans have gone through over the past 18 months they deserve better than having a captain make silly comments which adds to more bad publicity. Oh yeah Matt Rogers and Preston Campbell certainly stayed loyal to the sharks by leaving to different codes and different clubs. Apart from Peachy and Ettinghausen some of those names you have listed have not been at the Sharks as long as Gallan and unlike Gallan have not played at the one club their whole career.

Gallan does not have to show that he want's to play for the Sharks by words. He's done it by actions and that's what counts the most.
