We must be the best click bait.
Good point. However, on that list, there's only one ½ and Galvin, imo has the potential to be a player in the mould of Fitler, or ever Johns.....and no I'm not on meds. That's what I think of Galvin's future potential.
The guys privates have only just dropped but already he's shown a level of maturity and skill akin of a more experienced ½.

That's closer to the truth.
It certainly all comes down to this.If we are bottom 4 the NRL may as well fold WT coz it will become a house of cards beyond rescue.Luai will also be using his get out clause coz with his experience & dearth of quality halves he will command a more lucrative deal than he’s currently on irrespective of his form this season.

While Galvin is a work in progress and still has his best years ahead of him it was only a week or so ago that he was absolutely terrible against the Knights. Richo is no mug and will most likely offer a deal that suits both club and player.

Galvin’s advantages over Heath Mason are size, and possibly a little bit longer kicking game. Mason in the halves would do every bit as well in attack, he has speed, a lethal step, good brain and great hands. Id hazard to say Mason’s short kicking game is more selective and accurate. I see it as a bit of a tragedy that Mason won’t get a run in the halves. Then you’ve got Latu, exciting, skilful but maybe a bit too flash at this age and will make mistakes. Both Mason and Latu maybe fall a bit short of Galvin in defence but Galvin isn’t perfect in that area either (but then who is). I’d love for Galvin to stay and be our 5/8 for ten years or so, but I’m not sure his leaving would be a tragedy

I hope he stays as well, every judge in the game says he has a great future.
But I had someone offer a suggestion last night, that if Galvin does want to go, we use that money to buy an elite 7 and put Luai back into his natural position?
It has merit.

This is the way I see it but the proviso to me is that retaining Galvin on good dollars could be bad for the club.

We have Latu and Mason at the club as well.

I'm not convinced he is an all time great right now and that is the hype.

Whilst Latu and Mason play better with more NRL experience they get, I don't think neither of them have the potential of being another Brad Fitler. However in Galvin.....absolutely.
Galvin has just started. One full preseason, and last season a backline that was never settled since his debut and he plays with the confidence and ability of a seasoned NRL player.
Of course he made some bad decisions, and over played his hand a bit but he was on his Pat Malone.
Now with Jarome there and a better team around him, either Galvin or Luai will score 50pts in stats alone.
I'd be paying him as much as is required to keep him.
He hates losing, so if we start winning and build up a team full of close mates then our CEO talking to Lachlan and his parents might get it done.

If anything I think the opposite. Galvin doesn't have a step. He doesn't have the ability to bust the line. The other two have that ability.

I think if Galvin becomes as good as the hype he'll be his own sort of player. He sort of reminds me of Terry Lamb if anything. He can defend, make a bust and throw a good ball but his main attribute is his involvement and in particular backing up. Lamb was a great player but more like a club great rather than an all time great. If Galvin gets to that level I'd be surprised. There haven't been many better than one Terry dickhead Lamb.

Galvin is a taller body, with a bit of room he has a good body swerve, his kicking game will improve and he's as fit as a fiddle. He has good situational awareness.
He has good pass left or right.
I assess raw natural talent. Galvin has more imo. He has more potential, way more. The ability to straighten the attack and think quickly outweighs a sidestep.
The other two are very important for depth if we are to make the 8.
I've been watching this kid since 2022 and he's got what it takes.
In a good side he'll make SOO and play for Australia....that's how confident I'm with this lad.
My only concern is our club has stuffed up players once they make the NRL
Our heads of sheds are good now.
He has another good ½ to help him and a coach who knows a little bit about playing ⅝ :)

How about you remind me of this post in 2 years, if you and I are still kicking.

Galvin is going great. But he is ahead of schedule on where he should be. He is ahead of schedule of where the Tigers thought he would be.

Does he deserve an upgraded contract, absolutely he does
Does he deserve a million dollar a season salary, absolutely not.

Galvin is excellent with the fans and young Kids with his time and really mature with the media and comes across really well in interviews. All this bodes well in the tigers favour.

This will come down to greed. Not from Galvin but from the scum Isaac Moses. Moses will want him to be a top 5 paid player when he isnt even in the top 30 best players in the comp. Tigers need to stand firm on their offer which I beleive should be about 600k. No stupid clauses but maybe topped up with every win they get.

If Moses says no then Tigers should let him walk. Just move on and not counter offer on bow down to Moses demands. Latu is the goods and their are some good halves in the lower grades.

Galvin is just a pawn in Moses palm. He will generally want to stay with the Tigers and has history with them. He lives in Campbelltown, is a local junior and his Brothers are in the District involved with footy.

As I said, this will come down to greed, not from Galvin but from Moses. What ever Happens with where he signs, the only true winner will be Moses.

Ur spot on R & S.We can’t afford to bend our salary cap massively out of shape like we have in the past.We need to amass a squad that can contest for the premiership & not be beholden to the unscrupulous Isaac Moses as his unrealistic demands will hamper our ability to have a squad that is evenly spread with talent & has the work ethic & team harmony to be competitive long term. The demonic IM won’t stop at anything to place a club in a predicament where he holds them to ransom & with Richo at the helm it’s the only time during this clubs history I’m optimistic about decision making re R & R.

I don't care how they do it, just as long as they keep him.

Him and Luai will give us an opportunity to start playing finals and possibly GF's in the next season or two.

Though, I think this bit of early success (if it continues) will go a long way in helping with that decision.

This is my take. It's about the overall squad and until Galvin plays like Ponga regularly he isn't worth a top tier salary.

If he can prove himself that level of a player then show him the money.

Who is better Jahrome Hughes or Galvin ? I thought Hughes was on something like $800k.

Hey Lachlan, listen to the man. But for the time being, just knuckle down and play footy to the best of your ability.

Galviin is a 19 year old playing his second season...you cannot compare. Whatever big money he will be on will start in 2 years when his time and experience in the NRL will have DOUBLED! ....that's when to compare their relative values
