That was a gutsy win against the Premiers last night, great defence & line speed ... and like everyone, happy as with 10 wins in a row.
Maybe it was the nerves of a big game, and the Cows defended as well as they have all year ... but I thought our attack regressed a little. There were too many sets where we reverted to 4 one-out hits up, and relied on the one set play before a kick. And our 1 try was off an intercept (plus some Val brilliance). Yes we had to get into the grind etc ... but there's a balance there somewhere. The number of sets we had in their half without converting ... you just know in a finals game that after defending so long, a Morgan/Thurston (or Cronk/Smith) will convert their chances once they get them. Just a niggling doubt looking forward to the finals ...
But in the meantime, I'm enjoying the ride
We can improve on that & be there in Oct if injuries & luck are kind to us (and let's face, we deserve some after 50 years).
