There 15th they are a bad side, we were running 1st
They're running 15th cause they lost 6 straight without their 2 best players. We were without our most potent attacking player plus our best defender. Not making excuses but Parra will go on a run and likely make the 8 with a fair run of luck with injuries. Us....leaking what 110 points in 3 games is f**ken ordinary. Broncs and Dolphins next 2...could get ugly. Not often a side completes at 95% and gets done comfortably.

Completion for both teams was pretty much perfect, that’s been addressed.

Defence how we was horrible, bad Cronulla form here.

We lost the field battle via Moses’s long kicks and their hard kick chase, where as our kicks and chase were hopeless.

I admit, our starting forwards didn’t make many meters to get us onto the front foot, bhu’s error was a big one with a bad defensive read straight after leading to Brown still over the line.

hunt and talekai were huge and need more minutes. Tapuha deserve a spot on the bench over Rudolph at this stage.

From there, bad goal line defence cost us the game. Such basics, and after last week. Hard pill to swallow.

On top of that our attack besides our back 5 was clunky.

Actually it shouldn't get ugly against Broncs
They will be without there key halfback in Reynolds.
Will have more out due to origin then us.
They will have to throw some kids in.

If we are a half decent team we should win

I have said it about this team for a couple of years they don't want to get into the grind.
They prefer a shoot out.
10-2 win every day over 38-30

im not wrist slitting yet . we are under radar now ... GREAT! Parramatta with Gutho, Moses, junior ,their monster winger , etc made Penrith their B***H. its not like wE got beat by a bad side . long way to go . Some negatives .. sure , but some positives and some things to work on.

No one is wrist slitting.

Just pointing out horrible play.

It was the same last week.

There are some on here who either have fear to criticise or only want to give pats on the back or at least the beer was good type of fans.

A lot of this shyte should’ve been cleaned up from last weeks mauling.

Too many players on cruise control in games.

Some players unfortunately can’t be dropped because there’s no one better to take their spot. But hopefully that changes sooner rather than later. Especially the protected species on this forum.

FFS this was against an Eels side who have capitulated in most of their games.

Cronulla has hit a flat spot. It is a long season and it will happen. Last night was disappointing because the attitude and focus was off. This led to poor decisions and lack of intensity in controlling the ruck. Parramatta had the emotional boost of Moses and Gutherson back and Cronulla didn't lift.

Bigger picture is that the team is 9 wins, 3 losses. This is a very strong start. There has been progress made from last season. They have shown they can play a more intense brand of football. They need to get the defensive intensity back. They need a lot more from Uele and Rudolf. Hazelton and Kaufusi have done well but need more support. The team are well positioned to finish top 4 if they work through this flat spot.

Some really, really soft tries.

Parra had the 1,6 and 7 back together that took them to a GF 18 months ago vs WK, DA and BT who probably played their first game together. Moses killed us. That doesn't excuse the soft tries. Some very poor misses. Soft f**king tries.

Offloads kill us every week.

3 players for us coming back into the 17 who have barely played the last 5-6 weeks. Looked disjointed. Doesn't excuse the bad misses.

Iro started very well but is starting to be picked apart.

We desperately need Toby and BHU to be match fit. Need Nicho on the field.

I can't stand Moses and Gutherson. They will never win anything the whinging f**ks. Gutherson knocks the ball on clear as day and gets up to whinge about it. Off their heads.

Team seems flat given the big run of back to back games. After the Broncos game next week we have an easier draw to run home.

Precisely. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

The writing was on the wall a few minutes after the first try.
The Eels were rolling through us, and we were barely making 25 metres in return.

They seemed to fall back to the old bad habit where if they score an easy try early, they take their foot off the gas.

I said to my wife they need to pull their heads out of their arses here, or it'll be the same as last week.
Sure enough...

For the most part.
But I think the Dolphins will be a test, and we have the Dogs after the bye. They've started to aim up and will be a test of attitude as well.

Fitzy needs to be tough on team selection.

I don't think you can suggest Rudolf and BHU have been near good enough to be in the NRL team over Hau Tapuha. They should be working on their fitness and their game back with the Jets and have to force their way back into the team.

They can't just do what they did last couple of seasons and persist with the same lineup when it's not working. Otherwise, we can expect the same result - another loss or two in the finals.

Toby needs a stint in NSW Cup.
He can get some much needed fitness there.

This would’ve been the perfect game for Tooks to play in.

Uele showed some glimps of what he’s capable of when he gets up to match speed.

As many have said already. Some of our forwards need to get an offload going.
Maybe that’s why no one pushes up through the middle?

Offloads always destroy us and I have no idea why it’s not been addressed.

Our forwards off the bench are normally good but last night horrible. Missed Williams’ impact (even though I think even has been off his game last 2 weeks). Toby offers very little and BHU is clearly not match fit. Hunt wasn’t as bad as the rest but I wouldn’t have loved to have to seen Tuks there over Toby. Talakai back into the centres for a few weeks wouldn’t be a bad idea because I think Iro has been targeted and exposed. Needs a spell at Newtown.

McInnes was badly missed.

As others have said, the team has hit a flat spot and seems to be a mile off the pace.

Finally watched the game. Meh.

Parra we’re on and if we got them last week without Moses and king for a day fool for a lifetime - Gutho - we do a number on them.

Wishful thinking only gets you so far and currently they are flat as a tack. Couldn’t believe Nikora performance… don’t know what’s going on there. The other muppet is BHU - never been a fan. Always injured at the wrong moment and a waste of cash. For all the heat Toby gets, I think he deserves some attention.
I don’t mind either of the halves and were gallant and could go on but can’t be bothered

As mentioned, only three losses for the season, but my word they were critical loses in the mental scheme of things. Type of loss you would consider as 3 strikes and your out for the season.

I think leaving just after halftime at the Penrith game, whilst not as deflating as that semi final loss to the cowboys a few years back, I had the same feeling. Just making up the numbers

Two weeks in a row we’ve played pretty shit and played two teams who have played their best games of the season. If Uele doesn’t drop the ball with 10 minutes to go, I reckon we steal it. We were coming home over the top of them and Fitzgibbon said in the pre match talk that we were willing to take it deep, suggesting the team knew we could get them in the end.

in saying that, it felt like when we didn’t score in that first 5 minutes after half time, we’d always fall short.
