I couldn't really get enthused about this season at all before it started, and now I've already seen enough after two games.

To be honest I wish this year was over already. I can't see us making the Top 8. We're attrocious in so many ways.

We’re missing two of our premier backrowers and we have potential replacements for Blake/Simonsson. That could make a huge difference.

Hodgson may not be the best but at least he won’t have to be here long.
If he takes up his player option I assume it would be not worth a lot of money. We can find someone else.

Hodgson just needs not to play 80 minutes. It's dog shit dumb that we're making him. He needs at least 15 minutes break, maybe longer.

We need a spark from dummy half off the bench. I suspect this isn't at the club currently though.

In fairness to Hodgson, we're asking an ageing 9 to play 80 minutes. Even when he was 25 he was never an 80 minute player. He looks completely gassed the last 30 minutes. We need some spark from dummy half, our middle forwards are all being asked to do too much.

tonight he was terrible the whole night. His passes were slow, he offered no running threat and was gassed pretty quickly in defence.

No decebt hooker is coming here whilst Hodgson is on the books. We are stuck with the old merkin for this year and next year.

Why not?
If they are offered enough money why wouldn’t they.
Just because Hodgson is here doesn’t mean he has to be the starting hooker.

There might be a decent young bloke out there we can grab.

Drown had a much better game, 145m, 3 LBA's, 2 TA's and a really shit grubber that every merkin will focus on.

observations…
- I don’t think Hodgo was as bad as some are making out. However he shouldn’t play 80 minutes
- our halves tried a lot harder this week and other than some clunkiness between them and the edge forwards, we’re significantly better than last week. I think they and Gutho gave us chances down the stretch, but our f**king useless outside backs dropped their shit every time
- RCG, Paulo (other than the drop) and Carty did pretty well IMO
- Hopgood was outstanding even allowing for some defensive reads
- our coach needs serious help with our bench rotation.
- Doorey was not as good as last week and Murchie offers very little
- Blake, simonson and Momosea should never play FG again

Yeah, we probably need to replace him after 25 minutes and bring him back on with 25 to go. Either that or just take him off after 50 for the rest of the game.

Asi is probably the only option to replace him though.

He might never be the same player, and Cini has shown some promise but shown nothing to suggest he’s a quality first grader. Our depth at the club is putrid.
