Why didn't we have these video refs in last years semi final game against Manly. That was a try.

To be fair the rules on it changed this year. Any loss of control makes it so complete control has to be regained before it is grounded.
As much as it sucks he lost control but kept contact, previous years it would be a try, but not with this years ruling on it. It is unfortunate but that rule saved Nsw on Wednesday.
