We seemed determined to piggyback them out of their own end and bring them back into the game with stupid, unnecessary penalties. Then we looked lethargic in the second half while they were making easy metres every set. Still, I always felt fairly confident we would fall over the line.
Listening to the interviews after the game, nobody was under the illusion we played well. I would expect a more consistent and energetic effort against Newcastle.
