Disagree. The difference between our team & theirs , is the coach makes decisions for the club team that can be viewed as ruthless & never answers questions to anybodya, as to why, unless he is sending a clear message to his player. eg. He needs to improve. He needs to remove the errors from the game. Plenty of good players have been moved on by the Storm over the years, that obviously never learned, never improved. In our case, those players are Hynes & Williams.Great post - makes alot of sense and made reading the game day thread somewhat bearable.
Whether you like it or not, Melbourne were outstanding and we were sub par. Blame the refs, blame Nicos hair, Blame Ronnie, Blame Williams, blame blame blame.
We just ain’t as good as them or Penrith.
That offside was called by the commentary the entire line was offside & the referee blamed the slow play the ball. On the 5th tackle. It's turned into the Cam Smith days again.
It absolutely stinks.
I cannot fathom why their challenge won.
I do not know why there is a different definition for a high tackle for both teams.
I do not know why they are constantly allowed to walk past the marker and play the ball.
I do not know why they were allowed to push our player back another 10m after a held call, without the ref asking for the ball to be played on the mark.
I do not know why they are allowed to be offside (one absolutely ridiculous example where we got a view of the whole field and the storm had several players at least 3m offside. And the play went that way. )
I don't care what anyone says, this stuff influences games. If they are as good as everyone says they do not need these leg ups.

What time in the game was this?
It's true but the real question is why don't we play Roman when in Rome? Every dominant side in the history of the game has persisted with dodgy tactics until they become the norm. We're just a softcock, good guy club that wants to please the Peabody with the whistle.Players like munster every time they get tackled getting up looking at the referee carrying on that he should get a penalty.
We get penalised for non existent disruptors so I know what would happenIt's true but the real question is why don't we play Roman when in Rome? Initially we'd get penalised. But you keep on with it till it's normal. Look at the 'Dogs. Have brought the qunty stuff back and copped all the penalties and now can do anything. We get penalised for non existent disruptors so I know what would happen
We need an authoritarian figure in the club then maybe. Geez if we'd have landed Bellamy in that role when we were chasing him things may be different. And the bulldogs have Gus, as much as I can't stand the bloke he is like a dog with a bone if he wants to get a point across that benefits his side.Initially we'd get penalised. Precisely.
If the ref is allowing latitude in the play the ball, or staying onside, it's there to be exploited by both sides.
Get with the pharquing program.
I really don't know what you can do so may as well try it. I think a team did it recently or tried to.You can challenge high shots can't you?
It's finals footy, stay down and challenge every single high shot. Surely that's a challange even our players could get right.
