I still have concerns about the Sharks' discipline. Some really dumb penalties in that second half gifting the warriors field position (and a further man advantage). Thankfully the commitment in defence and the fact the Warriors are woeful meant that it didn't come back to bite them.

That brings me to Williams. I really thought he was developing the last couple of seasons, but he is a big liability this season. He was getting in the way with the ball at times, thought he was a half and tried to throw a long pass to Moylan which went to ground behind him (Moylan also needs to actually use two hands), and he is always good for a couple of unforced penalties. I don't see what he brings that Royce Hunt doesn't.

if There was a reason why Johnson is not in Sharks colours anymore well it was answered today, I mean he was given the environment to shine today with our ream playing with 12 men the majority of the game and playing with 11 for ten mins he failed miserably, why the warriors wanted him back is beyond me….

I have a lot of man love for big Feefs, but have voiced my concern over his form this year - however, I thought he was absolutely monumental in that period where we had 11 men. His defence was incredible, he was everywhere, really bust a gut to get all across the park in defence - he really set the tone in terms of attitude and commitment to keeping them out. Fantastic from the big fella.

Not really defending his performance tonight - because it was absolutely abysmal. He had the opportunity to build pressure and use his agility to make the sharks defence work more.

However, the Warriors do not have any go forward - and Nathan Brown simply doesn't have any reasonable answers when he was asked about it in the conference. They currently have the lowest run metres in the competition, last in post-contact metres, they are last in offloads, last in tackle breaks, least amount of decoy runs, and have the second most missed tackles. Not many halfbacks are going to succeed with those kind of numbers.

The Warriors tried shifting the ball wide with the man advantage, but rarely were they actually engaging the defensive line and committing defenders. This just allowed the Sharks to slide the defensive line, and resulted in the Warriors to just go side to side when they did have field position. That's where Johnson needed to win it with his kicking game - either repeat sets or try assists.

If I'm in Warriors management, I have concerns about Johnson - but my main concern is the poor coaching from Nathan Brown. The team is just miserable.

Walsh is the next Ponga one good play all day that is it, soft in defence as well.
They have a couple of good workers, and it's strange players who leave there without big wraps go better elsewhere.

I hope Metcalf seen what he is getting into.

When we had 11 and were defending on our line nicho had to join the line so he was defending in it while having to hedge his bets (and so were the outside backs). That’s so impressive. Then SJ kicked it dead haha

The players that have left and gone on to be good players were actually showing plenty there , but they have a problem identifying them . A lot of this issue has been since Cameron George came on board , he's a poison . The fact that he sacked SJ when he arrived and then hired him again tells you all you need to know about the Warriors and CG .
The list of players they have let go over the last few seasons that have gone on to be solid to very good first grade players would make them a very competitive team now .
