Geez, its telling how awesome the episode was when the Tower of Joy reveal wasn't the best scene

Cersei's coronation, Dany sailing to Westeros, Arya's awesome kill of Walder Frey and Jon gaining allegiance of the North were all epic

The show got rid of alot of the fat when they killed a whole bunch of characters that just distracted from the juicier stories, which will make more efficient viewing for next season

Cersei is on the way to Aerys land, notice how unaffected she was with Tommen...almost like she knew.
Who is getting Cersei though? We have Arya, Dany, Tyrion, QoT, Sand Snakes and Jaime...

Emilia also completely nailed that finale.
And the musical score in this episode was outstanding, I really can't fault this finale...for me it was my favourite.
I'm sure the nitpickers have plenty to say though lol.

Come on man, don't tell me you've all forgotten the greatest that was Bastard Bowl only a week earlier?

This was a beautiful episode, the music was haunting but last week in terms of sheer satistaction and hype was the pinnacle for me.

Anyway - more thoughts:

Best scene was Lady Mormont - King of the North - man that was hype.

Sexy red priestess admiting to killing a young girl. - almost had me in tears.

Cersi with the crown - scary as f**k.

Arya Stark - serial assasin

Very satisfied.

But FMD next year......

I'm calling it. Greatest episode ever.

So hard to pick. Without question best season finale of all time, possibly across any TV show. No annoying cliffhanger tactics, just resolving every storyline line set up this season, trimming the fat in the character list, and a promise of a great season to come.

The best part is with the next 2 seasons (the last 2?) being reduced to 6/7 eps each, literally every episode from here till the end of the series is going to be as action packed as this one. Can't wait

Bastardbowl was amazing. I just think this episode edges it because it had a bit of everything - interesting politics was back, amazing violent scenes, Jon Snow's identity revealed (which gave me goosebumps), Dany heading the Westeros...just comes down to individual taste when picking your favourite out of E9 and E10

I was a little annoyed in the tower of joy scene when Lyanna whispered the reveal. But what she whispered was Jon Snow's real name

I hope it's not just Jon Targaryen, and Rhaegar decided on something more worthy.

We also got confirmation of the magic the wall has from Benjen. If he can't cross it then how will the White Walkers?
I'm guessing it comes crashing down somehow next season

Multiple climaxes. They're right, the show is turning feminist

No doubt now

Cersei head of House Lanister and on the Iron Throne
Dorne ruled by Ellaria Sand and now allied with Olenna Tyrell
Yara Greyjoy in an alliance with Daenerys Targaryen
Sansa stepping up to take back Winterfell
Arya is a ninja assassin

and lets not forget Lady Morment, she's got the biggest balls than all characters on the show

I liked that episode better than Battle of the Bastards because of how much ground it covered but they were both very, very good. Nice turnaround from the previous ep 8 that was a let-down.

Cersei is on borrowed time. If Dany and her posse don't do it and Arya doesn't punch her ticket for her, there's no way that Jaime doesn't add 'Queenslayer' and 'Kinslayer' to his list of epitaphs.

It was very good, but not my favourite episode ever.

Not mine, but a damned good one. I still enjoy Hardhome and Battle of the Bastards more from recent memory, and several earlier episodes as well.

Nitpicking time

Where did Arya steal that face from? when she was leaving the faceless man or is she killing people and stealing faces as she journeys to Westerous?

And where did Arya find the time to kill two guys, bake a cake and not get caught?

Speaking of time, how did Varys get from Dorne back to Mereen in such a short space or time? we never got to see him spend quality time with the Queen of Dragons.

"Blood and Fire" that's all he said in Dorne. Hell of a long way to go for only a few lines. Would like to hear more.

"King of the North!!!" When they drew their swords, anyone think it was a bit dangerous - I feared Lady. Mormont might take a slice to the head.

Maestro Pycell - anyone think he might have taken on those kids if there was only 2-3 of them? We all know he's not the nimble old man he pretends to be. Quite a fit and strong, but then again those blades looked sharpe.

Kids murdering an old man - tick that one off the list.

Loras - anyone think his voice sounded too" normal " - his tone wasn't that if a broken man

Lancel - why exactly would he follow a street kid all the way down the gutters ?

What exactly was Margery's plan if Cersi hadn't blown up the place?

Arya was my favourite scene. What an episode though.

Speaking of time, how did Varys get from Dorne back to Mereen in such a short space or time? we never got to see him spend quality time with the Queen of Dragons.

I thought that was a bit odd at first too. But there?s Tyrell ships with them so they must have gone out to join Dany?s fleet and Varys has hitched a ride.

I don?t think Arya took the face from Braavos because she could make her own. I guess they could have shown how she got it but it would ruin the surprise.
