When they mentioned going back to Dragonstone I thought to myself, “That is f**king stupid it’s surrounded by water and way too close to King’s landing, they could have all kinds of shit set up for an ambush there.” So needless to say I was not shocked in the slightest when Rhaegal copped the death he probably should’ve just gotten fighting the Night King.

Also calling bullshit on them supposedly only being on even footing as far as armies go after the showdown last week. Also not sure how much Drogon can contribute when the whole city is seemingly covered in the scorpions. The only realistic way they should be able to win this is if the Golden Company go all Blackfyre but that storyline is completely ignored here so I’m not holding my breath.

He's gonna feel like shit when he finds out his new pet is dead already.

The dragons have been utter bitches of late TBH. Turn tail and fly away at the first sign of trouble.

Even big bad Drogon apparently couldn't handle the same number of wights as a damned 60 y.o bloke with a sword could fight off.

Euron is like the Nazi’s in Breaking Bad.

The compelling villains are largely all gone, but you still need a bad guy.

I think Tyrion needs to get off the plonk. He is getting schooled on a daily basis by Cersei.

And why not circle the fleet and burn them all..That lovely bodied woman would still be around to fondle Grey Worm's ghost balls.

I have the feeling that Jamie gets the stab next week.

Starting to think this show ain’t going to end in a satisfying manner.

They spent so much wasted time dragging very little story progression over seasons 5 and 6, and now suddenly it feels like they are rushing through everything too quickly.

The forcing of Euron into the story is where the show lost its way IMO. No one gives a f**k about this guy, and now he’s suddenly some massive player slaying dragons.

They are also really forcing in this conflict between the Starks and Dany.

Tbh the show is collapsing under the pressure of itself.

I tend to agree... Euron is just a waste of space.. although I am wondering if he picked up that there’s no way Tyrion could know Cersei was pregnant if it is his child as she claims.

Also anyone wondering how the f**k the dragons don’t see/sense the danger way before they get in range if the scorpions?

I’m gong to assume a dragon senses are a little better than a humans? The knight king being able to slay one I can understand.. 10 ships managing to hit a dragon 4 times from that distance while sneaking up in it is just lazy writing.

Can’t see them bringing this together in any meaningful way but here’s hoping..

Essentially another "Set Up" episode

My thoughts:

I was actually thinking Rhaegal should have gone with Jon just as he got shot, fairly good shot value there

Once Missande was captured it was a certainty that she was dead

It'll be interesting to see how the whole Jon v Dany thing plays out, with the North and Varys (and a conflicted Tyrion) determined to see Jon on the throne

The whole "who is the Lord of Storms End? Does anybody know? was kinda funny because its what I have been wondering for a while, Is a whole major castle basically sitting unoccupied and abandoned? same goes with The Twins, Riverrun, Highgarden, Harrenhall and Dragonstone before Dany got there and after she left. They basically turned bad writing/plot holes into a joke.

Kinda upset we didn't see Yara retake the Iron Islands, but obviously, it's the limited number of episodes that we didn't.

We didn't see what happened to House Glover (the ones who didn't fight the Night King)

Also just realized we never saw the Reeds (Meera and her dad who was Ned's friend and probably knew about Jon)

Poor Ghost

Surely the Tormund, Wildlings and Ghost make another appearance? Not sure how but surely

Same with the Second Sons in Mereen, will they really not come to help out?

In the trailer there was a dragon screech then Euron looking surprised, at first I thought maybe Rhaegal made it, but then I remembered the spear straight through the head, so surely not

The show is really cutting a lot of things out in order for it to only be 6 episodes...

I thought it was a good episode. More satisfying than the last. Perhaps the celebrating went on too long at Winterfell but they did just defeat the dead and I think we can confirm they ain't coming back. Honestly thought Missandei would get saved at the last minute by some plot armour.

It'll be interesting to see how the whole Jon v Dany thing plays out

Varys is going to die for betraying Daenarys I think. Daenarys just got the last trigger to go full mad queen so she's going to perish at someone's hands. Does Jon have it in him?

Hah, we will never see the Reeds. I don't think we'll see Tormund, Ghost or Sam/Gilly again either. That felt like goodbye for good. Maybe Sam if they go the 'There and back again' route.

After last week, I was genuinely worried D&D were just going to say 'f**k it' to Arya as a character and make her a lady.

Potentially could've been a shit filler episode, but the ambush saved it

Now we have 2 mad queens, Dany will burn will try to "burn them all" and perhaps it's up to Jon to kill her, maybe that's why they're building Jon up as being pussy whipped

I do feel like they are rushing it, why not just make it a 10 episode season. They just spent 2.5 episodes drinking before the battle and celebrating after the battle

Do yourself and favour and avoid ever watching 'Inside the Episode's afterwards. Any time you're tempted to think something deeper is going on, D&D are there to reassure you there's not.

I believe Riverrun is still occupied by Edmure Tully? He was key in taking the castle during the siege and the Tully army stayed loyal to him.

I’m interested to see if the Martell’s join back in - surely they don’t get mentioned for no reason...

They just randomly dropped "the prince of Dorne"

Who the f**k is that?

Anyone know why Cersei didn't just kill Daenarys right there though? War over?
