From the comment section on a GoT article  Not sure if true but gave me a chuckle anyway.

And Now His Watch is Ended But Paradoxically His Contract Has Been Extended Through Season 6 With An Option for a Raise in Season 7.

There is no story at the Night's Watch and North of the Wall without Jon Snow.

So there's no way he will die, as his contract situation proves I guess.

I have the same feeling. Melisandre will probably resurrect him, because there needs to be a solid plot behind her presence at Castle Black. Otherwise, she's not contributing anything to the whole story if she just stays there and does little. She could then be Jon's guide and proclaim him the Azor Hai.

However, there is a possibility that she will lose faith in her religion and abandon it after what happened with Stannis' failure...

GRRM has forced them to give Kit Harrington a contract to taunt us. It's as likely a reason as any imo, because the man is a real bastard, not the Jon Snow kind.

Shit episode.

So many story lines were rushed. Particularly Sansa and Arya. And why didn't Drogon fly her to Mereen straight away? Is Jon Snow really f**king dead? Surely not and I suspect he'll be saved by the Red Woman otherwise they can get f**ked.

Those stupid f**king Sand Snakes and that bitch even more annoying than Tyrion's whore have ruined the season with their awful on screen time.

All in all I thought it was a crap ending to a season that really heated up in episodes 8 and 9. Alas way too late.

+1

Couldn't agree more, that last episode felt so rushed and forced, they could've done much more earlier in the season.

If they had a problem with the wildlings and Jon's decision, they had an easy way out and didn't have to open the Wall's door. What has happened after that moment that triggered the treason? Sloppy writing IMO.

Most boring season of the series by a country mile. Literally nothing of note happened. the entire hung could have been covered in about 3 episodes if they were stretching, instead we see most episodes filled with f**king nothing until the last 5 minutes of so.

With the show caught up to the books, anyone else thinking the show is going to take a serious nose dive in quality and wind up with a rushed "finale" after not being renewed after its current contract ends?

Maybe they will try use the wildlings as scapegoats.
Think it happened in broad daylight in the books. And pretty sure Alister had nothing to do with it either.

I'm very worried about how the show will go from here. It feels all over the place atm with the storyline, and AT LEAST 3 more seasons away from a satisfying completion.

Every major character keeps on stumbling into road blocks and/or new dilemmas, none of which work towards a final resolution. See mainly Arya, dead Jon, Dany, Sansa, the Lannisters with their now looming war with Dorne thanks to the four worst actors in the show for killing Myrcella.

It's all a bit scatter gun atm. Again, with no sight of a narrative towards a clear ending.

No way that happens this show will be 7-8 seasons even thou HBO want 10. I think without the books the show will flourish as it no longer has to balance drawing content from two vastly different forms of media.this season has not been as bad as some say it has mirrored season two in many ways resetting the board with a lot of minor scenes that will come into play in the next two seasons. The downside of season 3-4 containing so much action was that it eliminated several key characters as season like this was always coming in order to establish new storylines.
