I don’t think it has been. There was a period around 16-17 where our defence was very good. It made for a dour, pretty boring style of footy, but the structures seemed decent. I don’t know what has changed, but it’s definitely gotten worse overall. It’s just constant heart in mouth stuff whenever the opponents swing wide.
I would say it's been average most of the time. It was top four a couple of times and bottom four a couple of times. Otherwise it's been around the middle.
I think bringing Paulo in has forced us to compress in the middle to protect him. For while there Moses was a real weakness on the right edge as well.
Yeah, I think there’s something to that. We also haven’t ever really compensated for the loss of Jennings at centre defence-wise, he was a beast.
