Good morning to one and all.

Yes, the no try was significant and should be the first thing spoken about this morning.

Secondary to that, we are playing rusty still and both Brown and Moses are still on holidays.

Dumb mistakes by Simonsson and whatever caused the Hopgood intercept were the icing on the cake.

Lastly, Manly has got X-factor and that’s why they won. Last year, our x-factor won us plenty, but is still in Bali or Las Vegas right now.

Onwards and upwards. Penrith next week <checks notes> oh Thursday again. Fun draw for us.

Brown, and Moses, are both on holiday, but want mega-dollar deals...and we are all too happy to accommodate this utter lack of professionalism.

I would say it's been average most of the time. It was top four a couple of times and bottom four a couple of times. Otherwise it's been around the middle.
Our defence has been shit the whole time he has been here bar 2 years
2014 13th points conceded
2015 13th
2016 salary cap
2017 7th finished 4th on ladder
2018 13th
2019 12th finished 6th
2020 3rd finished 3rd
2021 3rd finished 6th
2022 8th finished 4th

the only thing that has remained consistent is the coach in that time and we are always compressed and find ourselves short on the right.

It feels like a 2018 kind of year, I would be very surprised if we make it out of the bottom 4 , Moses is a confidence player , Brown doesn’t have any authority to take control of the team, Gutherson, while always 100% effort, won’t win is enough games by himself and our hooker looks like he should be in a nursing home. We have no smart outside backs and the only one I can excuse is Penisini as he is still learning. After the loss to Sharks in my despair I thought at least if we don’t make the 8 the coach will get sacked lol what a fool I am.

So even though we got beat by only 4 points by Storm, Sharks and Manly you reckon that Tigers etc are above us and we are the worst team in the comp ?

Interesting perspective.
He said ‘in contention’ . I reckon the Tigers are another team ‘in contention’ for the spoon.

I agree and I reckon it's pretty smart tactics by BA, we're starting slow and saving ourselves to peak in the finals
Why bother making top 4.

We have a bye the week before finals to rest up to go full throttle for 4 weeks.

Genius by BA.

Yep. I reckon we are a chance for bottom 4. This is eerily similar to 2018. No one thought we’d get the spoon then either. Some genius even said we’d make the 8 after being 0-5.
I think we will finish around 11th. Win about 9-10 games.

As f**ked up as getting 3 teams straight off a bye in first 5 weeks.

We do get Manly and Cowboys at home in weeks before origin so basically both teams will be depleted to the hilt.

And our draw does get easier post round 5.

I can't see anyone outside of Junior getting into the NSW team.

Are you seriously for real? We laughed at tigers and how poorly they’ve played, yet you want to sweep how we’ve played under the carpet?

As it stands we’re on par with them.

You guys confuse me.

One minute you post that if $1m Mitch kicks at 90%, we're 3-0 and now we're on par with the Tigers. Stick with the script will ya.

Our defence ( and attack ) will automatically improve with the inclusion of Lane and Matto, it aint the end of the world.

If not for Moses having a shit few weeks goal kicking we'd be 2-0 or 3-0 , on the subject of which the calls to replace him on that front are a tad premature, merkins go through poor runs and he's a genuine 80% kicker, which is definitely NRL standard. Some of those misses he usually would throw over, but whatever the reason he's down on form, form is temporary.
