Agree with mis mang, I wasn't heaps keen for this game but it has so many exciting and unique elements its skyrocketed to my second favourite Mafia game we've had (behind GoT).

At first I wasn't a fan of the ability because I had no idea what the information I was receiving meant. But as the game went on, I was able to pick bits out with the help of other players and it helped us clear a few people.

----

Hat off to you KTF. I wasn't at all excited for this game, but the unique gameplay and the new abilities (I particulalry liked the way you made a few different, less potent but more interesting, investigation roles) made it one of my favourite so far.

Glad I'm not having to follow this

Cheers Mis

Was very happy with the way info generally came out. I didn't want any of the "player x is this alignment". Wanted to throw a bunch of dots out there and wait for people to connect. It was always going to be a very confusing first 3-4 day phases and for awhile I was wondering if town would connect any of those dots. When things started coming together though town got on a role. Always saw the release of info as a train gathering speed.

Still trying to work out a way to make force vote more effective though. SGB had the power and the idea was that whoever he targeted had to force vote, and then if somebody targeted the same person or that person targeted someone else then they also had to force vote.

Was going for a maximum of 3 people per phase force vote chain. Worked well for the first few phases (unfortunately due to Apey's random bomb it got Coby lynched and it was his factions power) but as the numbers dwindled so did the night actions and it became ineffective again.

Now the next time I run one I have to top it. No pressure.

Still annoyed I found mafia after GOT. Love that show.

In Random Mafia, the person forcing the vote could also include what the person voting had to say. It made it a bit more organic.

Fred and BM were the ones who I wanted to hang around longer than they did.

Fred was restricted by choice on the first few phases because nobody died. If he had of stuck around he would've gotten some really interesting autopsy reports and they would've had the potential to confuse the hell out of everyone if he shared them.

Bunniesman was Sludge the dumbest of dumb Dinobots. His ability was actually a dual one. He could protect and roleblock at the same time. I was curious to see what these contrasting powers did. For example you can't role block a bad guy without protecting them and you can't protect an investigator without blocking their investigation. Wanted to see how that one would play out. Ah well, can't get it all your own way.

I did consider not telling people they were force voted and instead giving them information that pointed towards a certain player, but considering how vague I was being elsewhere with info anything that straight out named someone would've made the force vote too powerful as they were sure to be lynched.

The other plus with vague info is I was hoping it would make people pay more attention to the write ups instead of a quick skim to see who died. I really enjoyed doing the write ups.

I know D10 has more surprises planned for Batman. It's going to be an interesting one to see what sort of experiments he's come up with.

I'm not sure how many surprises I can put into a game like Random Mafia. It's really all about being stupidly over-powered and unpredictable.

But the Miser's Falls/Horror Mafia I have a lot of atmospheric plans for. Roles might not be as insanely powerful, but the bad guys will be scary and the good people of Miser's Falls will have to be at their brightest to survive.

I was thinking of a for more toned down one next time around in regards to powers, and maybe even a smaller in regards to characters. Would still have my own game play twists, but probably no theme in regards to it being a single TV/Move/Franchise. Keen to tell my own sort of story rather than being confined by a single franchise (although I did take some liberties with it).

Even had the idea of doing a mafia with no recognisable characters ie taking a bunch of random photos/people and creating roles for them, and then letting people's interactions and activity in the thread dictate how those characters are presented in the write ups.

Yeah thanks for the game KTF even if I didn't really participate much.

The the next night phase I investigated you so we knew exactly who you were

You found out my only power had already been used and you killed me anyway...

You are Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, Autobot aligned Jock’s.

Sideswipe is not nearly as much of a sociopath as his brotherSunstreaker, but he is every bit as skillful. He's more into battle for the sport of it. Sunstreaker knows to the core of his spark that he is better than any other Autobot, and he makes sure everyone else knows it, too.

Passive Ability: (Protection) - You must be killed twice to die.

Post Requirement: (Look at Me Ya Merkin) - Every odd day as Sideswipe you must say something aggressive towards another player, while every even day as Sunstreaker you must say something conceited. This will then give you triple vote powers.

Build: Speed

You win when ALL threats to the town are eliminated

When soc was accusing me I had nfi what was going on, telling people I was in contact with Coby, I thought he was crazy or something.

Oh, and thanks to whoever it was that couldn't keep their mouth shut about my triple votes, I may have survived if not for you.

Yeah, that was f**king weird. The info I got was you were flat out bad, so I thought killing you was the best thing. Then when you survived I was begging you to defend yourself. I couldn't understand why you were just denying it. At least we kept KTF amused.

Amused I was, also with PP and his post condition. Laughed whenever he threatened to take someone down hard.

Wouldn't say that the info you got said PP was flat out bad. Sure it did say that, but it also said.

Upon inspection of Sideswipe's body you discover a mind control implant. Or something to that effect. Thought that might have raised some alarms. I guess not.

Yeah, but I had already killed him at that stage. That info is why I called him out, but didn't go hard for a lynch. I was hoping he could explain himself.
