This Year?

No way. The Dogs beat the Broncos this year up there i think.
When they want to turn up and have a go not many teams score too many against them.
All their trys were scrapy today so no alarm bells for us.

I'm not as confident as you are. When we were great in '09 '10 and half of 2011 those sorts of games we wouldn't lose. We will see after next week I guess.

Maybe we need an uproar again. Oust doust sack Marry boycot the games.
We might get a leg up from the refs then.

Agree , should never had been pulled back. Doust and the rest of his God Fairies need to go. Never learning from past errors

Very disappointing today......poor start set the scene for the match....unessasary panick off loads by Sele, DeBelin, Macdonald, and a couple from Lafai early in the tackle count at costly intervals .....some poor kicking errors by Widdop which gave the Dogs 2 sets of 7 tackles didnt help.......Imo the Dogs were there for the taking today even after they had a glut of possession after the first 20.....the call from the coach should have been keep it simple just roll through your sets and grubber to the sideline....but no what did we do panicked lost our shape and structure and presented the opposition with 2 points......look the Dogs were very ordinary today but we were bloody woeful......theres going to have to be a lot of soul searching asap as we havnt looked anywhere near a top 4 team....matter of fact our performance looked bottom table to be honest

We please school us as to how we should react after a performance like that?
Point out the positives?
Blame the ref?
We just had an off day?
At some point you have to call a spade a spade.
It's because we support the club that we react this way.
Respect?
The way they appointed an unqualified coach since 2015?
The club showed absolutely no respect to the fans when they made that decision.
The extension is just another example.

Well, that's the only truly bad game we've played all year, so yes, some of those other options you mentioned are probably more prudent than what you're doing now.

We were supposed to be finishing bottom four. People had us getting the spoon instead of the Knights. We're currently fourth and only need four wins from our next eleven games to guarantee finals. Mary has done a phenomenal job turning the team around. If nothing has changed in two or three weeks, then I'll join you in your concern but you're overreacting quite a bit.

Certainly not our day.Cummings (ref)murdered us. The first 20min was outrageous. 3 straight penaltise ,grubs 90% of the ball,6attacking sets in a row ,he made us tackle ourselves to a standstill. Then the 2nd half we had nothing left.Thats how you do it, to get a team beaten.

Think it was 5 straight penalties to the grubs to start the match.

Just gassed the Dragons and they did well to hang on as long as they did in defense.

Our attack on the other hand, was woeful.

Josh McCrone, seriously...

The trouble with the " a win is a win he happy" philosophy is when push comes to shove and you have not truly reflected or improved on things despite the wins when the losses come they are ugly and oft repeated
Not taking the chance to strengthen whilst winning ugly normally ends in disaster
We were poor against Warriors and Tigoies and the chickens came home to roost today
The question is what will the coach do to arrest our slump because that what we're in despite the 2 recent wins which were very lacklustre?

On a serious note, the turning point was the incorrect 'no try' decision against Dugan in the 60th minute. Sure, the Dragons received a penalty, but don't the referees understand the 'advantage rule'?

This meant to be rhetorical.[/QUOTE
I
We had a bad game, the early defensive workload got things off the wrong foot and we forced the ball too often in our own half. Too many errors in general. Defence was spot on aside from Milne who had a shocker. Why did he replace Mann?

Credit to the dogs defence though, this game was ours for the taking.
If you watch the fist half again you will see how Mann was struggling in defence more than once against Morris.
Some people on here only see faults when it is an obvious blunder & then blame them for the teams loss.

I agree 100%. Mary has just been re-signed and this is the time to prove that he's got what it takes. If he needs to drop a couple of guys like Sele and Milne after today, so be it. We went away from what's made us successful this year.

Dogs jumped us early and at times out were more enthusiastic.

They slowed down the play the ball and came off their line quickly.

Our team seemed to be waiting for someone to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Last week we were ordinary. This week we were a little worse.

First half was a real arm wrestle. We did very well to lead 2-0 at the break.

Second half they were more consistent. We started pushing passes. When it works it opens up the play. When it doesn't we pay the penalty. All that early defence on our line took its toll in the second half.

Hoping this is the kick in the back side we need to revert back to our early season form.

If Widdop does not fire we are garbage.
I do not know whether Hunt will make much difference. Why didn't we take the penalty kick? Widdop and Dugan are the only good backs and Dugan is leaving. Sele and Milne contributed to us losing the game. Our top two grades
this week scored a sum total of two points. Perhaps FaiFai Loa should get
another game on the wing along with Herbert in the centres and Dufty at half-back. Host should replace Sele who must learn how to pass. No more Milne please as he is erratic. Our attack is again woeful. We have three first grade coaches and they coach this unacceptable rubbish. Is Matheson Johns ready for NRL as he is big enough?

Dogs deserve the win. Early penalties gas's us.

If Duges could have passed to Widdop we win. Sele made two errors, don't want to be to harsh on the bloke but they cost us. Vaughan driven into the ground in the second half, same as what he did in the first half, should have been a penalty.
