FMD...Twelve months ago, half you clowns were crying that you didn't care if we won or lost - you just wanted to see some effort and passion. And tonight we show shitloads of effort and passion, but are met with a class side, and you still whinge like emo PMSing Pommie tween girls...

Yeah! How dare the wooden spooners come up short against the desperate runners-up?

You cannot seriously watch that game and tell me we shouldn't have won? weak! Excuses are the problem, keep making them and mediocrity will be fine aye?

Should've won. No excuses. If we want change we can't sugar coat efforts like tonight. Sick of it!

Disappointed at the loss but happy that we were in the contest! The last couple of years we would have been hammered by 30+

That's what I figure.

Plus we had two debutantes (both did great IMO); our skipper didn't play half the game; our backs are all inexperienced and young; and Roberts, good as he can be, is inconsistent (putting too much pressure on Sandow). Plus many would still argue our roster sucks...

We, the spooners, lost by 4 points to the runners-up. If we played the same as last year, we lose by 50.

I'm disappointed we lost, sure - but I wasn't expecting miracles.

Something we wanted to see less of was stupid play, however there was bucket loads of that on display tonight, any side with a little bit of composure and some smart play belts the Dogs.

Absolutely - we should have won.

But the Dogs are no mugs. Also, we have a very inexperienced side, and it showed in a tight contest like tonight's.

If you think there are problems at the club, after watching Parramatta give 100% for 80 minutes, then I think you need your head read.

Last week we were going to win our first five games according to some.

Reality is we will have some good weeks and some bad weeks. The defensive effort was great. Much better than last year. The debutants were great. Sandow was easily the best player on both sides of the park. Hayne was disinterested. Maitua was a big loss through injury.

I 100% with Eelementary on this one. A loss will always hurt, especially when we had the chances in the second half but at no point did we put our heads down or clock off. Barring the Reynolds try our defence was desperate and committed.

We have alot to improve on but the effort was there tonight.

Average age of the side 22, backline average age 20, 2 debutants, never gave up, great signs for the future.

The real deal, Hayne with his ability should be good every week (like Slater, Bowen and Snake), and exceptional every 3rd or 4 th. He is poor, good and then great, no wonder some judges just don't get him.

We are going through a period when we will introduce younger players and sign some decent guys to fill the holes, think we will be very competitive this year and ever better going forward.

Thanks to previoius admin, Dogs had 5 Parra Junior on the field tonight s and dont ask how many Moanly have in their ranks

Well said - it was an amazing effort tonight, love the agressive defence and running . Just lacked a bit in attack - but the dogs are a very good defensive side. Cowboys lead by the worlds best half could only manage 4 tries against the dogs last week - we got three tonight with out our regular half combination.

Lots of positives to come out of the game. Aggressive Defence and go forward would have won most teams this game. Allgood and Mannah were FREAKN amazing. Sandow tries his little heart out.

Negatives Haynes, he was shit. And that's the first time I ever say that. f**king Keating is useless (Defence is great) Ben Roberts gifted the dogs countless penalties which led to trys.

We have improved heaps, hopefully more to come.

Despite finish stone motherless last in 2012, obviously some expect us to win every game in 2013.
Seems like they need to listen to what Ricky Stuart had to say in the press conference after the Warriors game last week.

I like the way Sticky has got us defending. Massive difference from last year. Last few years actually.

Unfortunately the second half was dominated by the Roberts and Paulo brain explosion show..

I reckon Hayne was ill. He had no energy.

He ran the ball fine, DT site has him at 163 metres, everything else though just seemed to lack effort. That forward pass to Blair being a nice example, he's thrown those passes forward before, but never that blatantly.

Agreed!

Hayne wasn't his usual self, and it hurt us. Maitua was a bigger loss than many would think - not only as a leader, but player (he was brilliant last week).

But big wraps to Mannah and Moimoi - outstanding from both props IMO.
