Comparing Lockyer switch is completley different, similar to the Hodges switch is different.
Lockyer was a School Boy 5-8, moved to fullback. He often played as a 5-8 in attack.
Hodges was a Australian School Boy fullback moved into the centres, he understands the positional play required etc.
Gasnier is not familiar with the position, at fullback I may see him be excel, but he will never be as good as Stewart, Mini or Bowan. 5-8 didn't work for him, and him playing lock would be a similar idea. Dumb idea, plus he struggles in defence enough with little guys running at him. Cooper at lock might work, not Gasnier.
But play him in the #3 and give him the ball... the dragqueens may actually win a game.
