umm, really? FMD, some really short memories around here. Before SOO he was a shoe in by everyone in the game because of his form. Put it all in perspective, he played a tough game on wednesday night, flies to brisbane thursday and backs up on friday night. Our back row was inexperienced and relatively weak, which meant relief was nowhere in sight. Now add to that he turns 30 in a month. I reckon wait till the end of the year before you drive the daggers in.

I would say that I'd take Gaz of today over Gaz of five years ago without question.
His attack is a little diminished but his defence is that of an experienced and accomplished centre; perhaps not as hurtful as Coops but damned near as effective.
He has matured into a fantastic asset in his own right
I saw his uncle play on many occasions and Puff's attack was incomparable but Gaz is a better defender than Reg was and carrying on the family (albeit extended) tradition as well as any. Include the Goodwin's, Morris boys, Young, Rogers, Growthe, Mortimer, Campese...you name all of them and Gaz is at the top of the pile in his own right.
Lastly DD if 9 out of 10 people disagree with you. You may need to treat yourself to a HDR or like and drill a bit deeper
