It’s about the bad player culture, that’s the link to the videos. That and Tyrone May.

I’d go as far as to say the only reason May wasn’t sacked is because he’s best mates with Nathan. They didn’t want to upset him.

I really think you are way off the mark in your views. May committed the crime, was given his punishment both by the courts and his 12 or more months out of the game and his retention by the club had nothing to do with being mates with Nathan Cleary.

He is off contract at the end of this season and if he performs in the disrupted Covid 19 situation he may get another contract if he doesn’t he will no doubt have to find another club to extend his career. It will have nothing to do with his friendship or otherwise with Nathan Cleary.

Age is no excuse Franklin. The actions of other’s is not excuse. We were in a time where V’Landy’s was working his butt off to get the game up and running again and all the players had to do way comply with simply rules and instructions which we as a population were for the most part trying to comply with. Maybe not a hanging offence but given what was at stake I find his actions absolutely despicable and disgusting and he deserved to be suspended however much that may have hurt our chances in the disrupted season.

I’m sorry mate but I cannot find any excuses for his stupidity and his lies around his actions.

Like almost all us, Peter Fitzsimmons excluded, I am desperate to see the footy back (and other sports as well) and frankly the actions of Nathan Cleary and others have jeopardised that occurring in the time frame of May 28.

At 22. If you were pretty much at home for 5 to 6 weeks with nothing to do would you do something stupid?

Warranted punishment. They got punishment that is it for me. It something stupid Cleary and the other players aren’t the only ones to break the rules

If we could look into a crystal ball I'm sure there would be a significant number of NRL players that have breached the social distancing protocols. They are young and have a lot to learn.

Absolutely, Cleary, Latrell, Addo-Carr are the tip of the iceberg. No doubt about that. But they got caught out based on there own stupidity. That shouldn’t excuse it, or make it any more palatable. I will guarantee the next poor nuftee, lowly paid fringe first grader who get’s caught out will have the book thrown at him. Example made and that person who ever it may be will pay the ultimate price and that is wrong. The opportunity existed for the NRL to make an example of Cleary and Co no matter how much that may have hurt our chances in this reduced competition. I could have lived with it. I could have lived with a Luai & Burton combination for however how Nathan was outed for.

The same weekend as those guys broke the rules. AFL players had a party got a $3k fine. $2k of that suspended there were no outrageous calls to have them suspended for the season or the garbage the RL media dished out

Not just them but if you trawl 1000 random instagram accounts you will find many breaches. As you said just immaturity that was punished

Being in the middle age bracket, I am somewhat social media inept, so not sure if this is covered elsewhere.

I really think we should have a thread to thank the Warriors for what they are giving up to help get the comp going. I understand tennis players, golfers, cricketers etc spend large chunks away from their families but the NRL players never signed up for this when they started their careers.

Also, as it is likely we won't be allowed to attend a live game this year, would be good if next year when the Warriors were away, the home team fans stood and applauded them say from the 10th minute to the 12th minute to let them know how grateful we are. Would be surreal seeing this at every Warriors away game.

I am so missing the footy.
