Just a twist on the New Jersey’s
Every year I see the post about the 4 New Jersey’s I cant help but think about the guy who Has collected every jersey we have ever had and buys the new ones every year .
He has to front up to the wife .Darling I need 4 New Jersey’s only 180 each
Not to mention the Anzac on and the one we will get for winning the grand final next year .That one will be around 2200

Thats me, although i wait till i can get a good deal or at the very least a replica, i have now become picky, choosing not to buy jerseys that are similar to the previous years, ( jusy coz the manufacturer changed, and slight movements etc)

Funny how Rothfield is in the thick of the story. The story is 7-8 years old. Funny how it came out after he left the Sharks.

Surely there’s not to many people buying the whole family the new strip every year, Id get sick of that after the 2nd year lol

Once you start collecting it hard to stop. Its the hunt.I had every card sticker from 1967 .even membership invites from Merv Cartwright for 1967 with the pin sticker and banner that came with it.I loved the meeting with collectors from other clubs the ex players who had things to add to my collection

Ive scaled back too, i sold 5 jerseys on ebay about a month ago, and about to sell another few, trying to really just keep personal favorites, instead of just whatever i had bought on the fly over the past 20 years,
Wondering if they ever make a new version of the 2003 GF jersey with our current colors one day in the next few years, they could just lighten the yellow to a light cream/gold color and keep the red and green (maybe tinge the green a bit towards teal, but not too much), i think it could work, i mean they are only a few stripes on a plain black jersey, it would be great to see some consistency in our history of jerseys whilst keeping our licorice all sorts of colors intact

Just on capewell
Full credit to him.he approached the paper and asked them to run the story . This is the best way to make the tape worth nothing
It was always going to be tough once it become known.
Well done and full support from me

I agree, he is ticking a lot of boxes for me, on and off the field.

Really great addition to our team and the greater club. I think he’s in for a massive 2021.

Well, considering Capewell approached the papers I’m not sure how you join those dots.

And by the way, Rothfield is not an asset to the Sharks. He’s a former ST George supporter who “switched” over some minor thing.

Now he likes to call himself a Sharks fan and troll other team’s supporters. We’d happily be rid of him. He does more harm than good.

He only approached the papers because he knew it was coming out. Best to get your version across before the media crucify you. There were rumours of it last year.

Capewell also contacted police and the NRL integrity unit last year when a man tried to sell images of the sexual act.

Maybe someone else like a reporter knew about it, or maybe they didn't.

I wouldn't describe Rothfield as being an asset to the Sharks. Having an agenda when it suits him yes. The man is slime. Everytime we play the Sharks the week before he always comes up with a negative story on us, hoping to derail us.
I agree with you. He does more harm than good.

Every club in the NRL thinks Rothfield is against them including the Sharks. He's just a journo who finds stories that will create drama/views which is his job. I don't think there's anything personal.

Has anyone noticed Rothfield can't go more than 2 weeks without mentioning Gould?
Either a story on him, a spotted, or a blurb. He is always writing about him. The man is obsessed.

As Gus is in close with Packer, I would imagine that he stopped Rothfield from getting work with any Packer company at some stage...

I made a mock up of the 2003 jersey, using the new jersey

Pretty simple if they ever wanted to do that as a heritage

The State Government has announced it will allocate funding towards the development of a business case for an upgrade of Panthers Stadium.

Acting Sports Minister Geoff Lee has confirmed feasibility studies will be undertaken on both Panthers Stadium and Brookvale Oval.

It comes after the NRL, through ARLC Chairman Peter V’landys, expressed disappointment that only Kogarah Oval was allocated funding in the State Budget.

“We know there is interest in communities to overhaul community grounds so we are firstly doing the planning work to make sure the costs stack-up,” Mr Lee said.

“We are serious about continuing our investment into community infrastructure and the business cases for these suburban grounds will give us the best insights on the community benefits for revitalisation.

“When we build and renew community infrastructure we get the benefits for the people of NSW. Revamping infrastructure like local grounds in Sydney’s South, North and West is a catalyst for jobs and economic growth, as well as providing communities with uplift in amenity and livability.

“Just look at how Bankwest Stadium has become a fan favourite, no matter what sport you follow.

“It’s important to get the basics right with these business cases so we can make informed decisions regarding any future investment into suburban grounds.”

My girls only wear the pink. So just pass it down. I get only the ones that stand out. I got the home one last year. Will get the alternate one but won't get one next year unless it is outstanding
