Been some good articles lately. This is just another without spin or BS
It does show that for all the DT/Fox crap we get about being unliked, most of the press find our story about competing with the powerhouses our own way compelling.

It does seem that we get a raw end of the deal from the Murdoch side; is that because the club is quite heavily aligned with 9/SMH?

Good article.

Wish writers would get their facts right:

Dylan is from Dorrigo: Not Belligen. Belligen is the bottom of the mountain, Dorrigo is the top.

Yes I know they share a footy team called the Dorrigo Belligen Magpies......but that is all.

Dorrigo is a very different community to Belligen. Dylans forebearers came to the Dorrigo when it first opened up in the 1890's just like mine did.

(Sorry for the rant, but I rail against lazy writing)

Nathan is contracted to Ch9

But generally the club hates their journos. We don't leak rumours and as such those bottom feeders get nothing, so give nothing.

I have heard the players love the us against them so aren't looking to change it anytime soon

Good article, sums up Dylan Edwards perfectly. Even his biggest fans on here have never suggested he has the explosive power of the likes of Tommy T but given his main job, doesn’t have to. Given the money he is on I wouldn’t swap him for anybody, just the best value for money fullback in the NRL.
Certainly the puzzle piece we need.

His work off the ball isn't really mentioned, except by Ivan. His reading of the game and the way he organises the defence are top shelf, the equal of any fullback in the game. How often is he caught out of position on kicks? Not very.

I’m not sure if this is captured in a stat somewhere, but the eye test suggested he a) gets to the ball on the full and/or b) with forward momentum more than most other fullbacks in the comp.

You really do notice his work of the ball at the games, which are out of camera range. He really is amazing in that regard, his ability to read the game and be in position to take kicks on the full almost always is incredible.
