I thought the cup side looked very ordinary. Jenkins was the only standout for me, scored a couple of tries and looked dangerous every time he touched the ball but apart from that I saw very little to get excited about.

Was the same in the 1st trial. We actually looked better when the Flegg guys come on. Nothing much looks to of changed

Just watching my daily dose of Panthers games, so I thought I'd watch the Vegas game for about the tenth time just to see how the newer guys are fitting and studying the subtle changes to the simple but effective system that has brought so much success.

To me, everyone is going well and I'm certain they will no doubt improve as the season progresses but one thing amazes me.

WTF was Phil Gould thinking when he decided to let Paul Alamoti go. The kid is an absolute success in our club. And he for one, is only getting better.

Great example of getting a kid to buy into the culture. Well done to both him and the wider organisation.

What did you think of Talagi? I was hoping to see him carve up but was a bit disappointed. Based on what I saw I think Cole will be our 6 for a while.
If you knew nothing about him beforehand you wouldn’t have noticed him so yes going forward nothing he displayed suggests he is a six. Early days for sure, but he’s not going to take the five eight spot from Cole anytime soon.

Thanks KK

You seem to have watched a lot of NRL (can’t do that from London). How does Talagi look versus Cole last year? When in Cup, was he a standout?

He isn't a 6. Getting a centre spot seems his best way to starting

Too early to say. The side got back Tuesday so I doubt those guys trained much but he had the ball 31 times. 24 passes and zero kicks.

Cole was a 7 at times in the side so did more of the half type things
