I still prefer "there will not be a carbon tax under the government I lead"
check your facts, then we can talkI'm glad there will be a PRICE ON CARBON[/B]...I will be getting the benefit of it...won't be coming out of my pocket..My grandkids might get another 80 years or so out of the planet.
No good sticking your head in the sand..The climate change we are getting now is just co-incidental...Yeah sure!!!!..
Jovial Joe has been blasting the loss of jobs. The first thing he says the Libs will do is cut 12,000 Health Public servants....Mmmmmm, Typical conservatives. First ones to suffer are the workers.

Oh and what does a carbon tax mean anyway. Is it carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide. One is a trace gas which is poisonous and the other is exactly the opposite, we breath it out and trees etc live off it. I dont get it ?
So she is the only Pollie to tell a fib??? Little Johhny Rotten couldn't lie straight in bed, who remembers his core and non core promises
so how many degrees will Australias tax lower the global temperature? You're right, you don't get it. CO2 is poisonous as well if you are exposed to enough of it. It's one of the believed causes of cot death. I would not advise locking yourself in a small space without ventilation, as it's the CO2 you breathe out that will kill you well before you run out of oxygen.
Regardless, the toxicity of CO2 to humans is irrelevant (but I'll bet you knew that already). It's CO2's effect as a greenhouse gas that is the problem. That's why the 'tax' as you put it is not only on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions but also methane (CH4) and other contributory gases. Carbon monoxide is not a greenhouse gas and so is not 'taxed'.
