Steve, our uncle lived in Toronto from the mid 60's til the early 80's. Our 'Legin' went over there for Christmas withour Uncle back in 1974 when he livedat Lakeshore Drive, Port Credit, Missisauga. I always remember the Leafs hat he brought back.

We both have a soft spot for Toronto sporting teams.

<span>I follow both Wigan and Melbourne more than any other but I‘m a fan of the game more than any one team due to living nowhere near a decent team which I could claim as my own. &lt;o>&lt;/o></span> <span>Other sports, &lt;o>&lt;/o></span> Quite partial to watching Sumo, cycling and also skateboarding and Bmx type of extreme sports stuff. Where do I live, Birmingham England. (Nice city, crap beer.) Other sporting pastimes, Sadly none although I need to do something soon. I gave up smoking in January and I’ve put on quite a lot of weight since. Non sporting activities, I’ve got a Playstation 2 which sees quite a bit of use and I read quite a bit too. Favourite authors are Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind and Robin Hobb in case anyone’s interested. Other comments, I’m 33, I can speak a little bit of Dutch, I’m hung like a horse and one of those last three comments was untrue. Comments on the forum, <span>I feel at home already as I recognise quite a few names from rleague.com where I used to post regularly and totalrl.com where I do so now. </span>
<span>And to anyone who doesn't know me, feel free to take the p### and have a laugh at my expense because I'll be doing the sametoyou.I believe a good forum should contain fun and comedy as well as serious league talk. </span>

I used to drink bitter in Brum until I went north for the first time and found out what is was supposed to taste like. I drink lager now at homebut I'm still on the bitter again whenever I'm on my travels.

Cronulla Sharks, but I'm also a fan of whatever is best for the game, especially internationally.

Cricket, soccer, golf.

Sylvania, Sutherland Shire, Sydney.

I play Cricket, OzTag, soccer, indoor soccer.

I'd been trying to find it for ages. I knew most of you blokes had gone somewhere but I wasn't sure where. From what I can see its a quality forum, where most people really know what they are on about.

Gav: Very interesting. Unfortunately the Blue Jays have been down for a few years. The Leafs are still the most popular team in the city, still trying to win the Cup for the first time since 1967.

Steve, whenmy Unclefirst moved to Canada, he lived on the other side of town in a place called Mimico.

Gav: I think Mimico is in Toronto proper, while Port Credit is part of Mississauga which is a city just outside the big city, a suburb. But to people where I live, in a small city an hour north of Toronto, it's all just one big metropolis called the GTA.
How did your uncle like living in Canada? It seems to me a British sports fan would be more at home in Aus, where some of the sports are the same, whereas we are pretty Americanized. Of course there are other things in life besides sports, right?

Steve, yes, I was wrong! Mimico is between downtown and Missisauga.

I think my uncle enjoyed living in Canada. I don't think he's a massive sports fan, although he was a half decent amateur soccer player when he was young, he seems to follow golf more than any other sport.

2.) Favourite other sport / teams ? Motor racing, if it's got pistons, oil, fuel, wheels and a driver, i'll watch it.

4.) What other sporting activities / pastimes do you take part in ? I use to play both rugby and league
5.) What's your main non- sporting activity ? Art, and annoying people, well not annoying everyone, I leave the girlfriend alone, she has a good left hook, and a nasty knee

I like all sports, and ill watch anything thats on, the faster the pace, the better...

I play oztag, and was playing league this year in bankstown u18 comp,ive played most sports, but league is where it is at!!

Im an avid drinker, and am allowed to be now, having recently turned 18

Im currently supposed to be studying for my HSC, but u know how much fun that is...

Love the forum, sport is my life, and talking about it is the next best thing to watching or playing it. and anything that can distract me from hsc study cant be bad...
