For 1974/75 this song was just so far ahead of its time, well...... ALL the great bands from the late 60's/early mid 1970's were so far ahead of their time. My favorite period of music ever.. Little Feat, The Eagles, Pink Floyd,....... oh gees, it would take me hours to list them all....... forget it....

I don't agree with much of what you have to say, in fact, in the past, you have bored me to tears with you pathetic sermons, Mr Casper, but one thing we do seem to have in common is some 60's/70's/80's music taste/knowledge.
As soon as you mentioned Jethro Tull and Yes, I knew you were of my classical vintage. Early Pink Floyd, were weird, but they got me. They then defined an era. King Crimson were super, as were, The Doors as you mentioned. Rolling Stones - severely over-rated.
Black Sabbath and Deep Purple laid the foundation for modern Day rock.
Uriah Heap, Neil Young and Rick Wakeman laid foundations for so much ahead of them.
Jackson Browne sold me on folk.
Australian mid-seventies rock intervened with great conviction, before culture changing bands like U2, Simple Minds and Pearl Jam changed the face of modern day pop/rock.
If anyone wants to talk minority, .............go for it.
I popped up and heard things like The Saints, Ed Kuepper, Paul Kelly and a host of others, but it was mainstream that always sold me records.
I have no shame about that.
