There may be better than Moltz at 7 but even if he sits against the goalpost reading a book and thats enough to make the side play well and win games just f*cking leave him there.

No no, I've always maintained he's sh*te. :) Thankfully every one else is starting to realise he's still a 20s footballer.

Can't agree Westie - I like him at 7, he's certainly a much better half than fullback, and I think he is worth persisting with.

Westie i don't disagree with your praise/derision of certain players. However when you constantly bag the same players and constantly praise your pet players people take some of your points with a grain of salt.

Heightington, Ryan and Moltzen - Have you ever said a positive word about these players???. Ryan had a decent game at fullback I thought. Fifita and Brown seems to have been added to this list after just 2 games.

Yet you won't here a bad word about Fitzhenry. You would not here a bad word about Collis, but never say anything good about Ashford. You claimed Fitzhnery was a major reason we won the competition in 2005 because of his quick surrender play the balls. Now I agree Brown is tripe, however he got us some quick play the balls on Friday and got our sets going with these same tactics. If it was Fitzy on the wing you would not be talking about his 3 kicks but rather his surrender plays i bet.

I could of got it very wrong Westie. However it seems you spend 90% of posts either bagging those 3 or 4 players i mentioned or defending guys like Fitzhenry.

Wests Tigers Players who have kicked goals

Gareth Ellis 2/2 @ 100% (In England)
Chris Lawrence 2/5 @ 40%
Robbie Farah 12/17 @ 70.59%
Lote Tuqiri 18/27 @66.67%
Benji Marshall 139/199 @ 69.85%

This year Benji has 8/16 @ 50%

aside from those 5 players, no one else in our squad has kicked a goal in first grade (In Australia or England)

Whats this talk about Flanagan being a goal kicker, hes has no first grade record. From all the mention he is getting in previous posts im almost convinced he is the greatest kicker in the world??

I think Benji would be a better all round player if he lost the burden of kicking. If we have another 65-70% kicker, let him (her if its Fitzy) kick.

I couldnt imagine Benji walking away from a 1/5 night with the boot and looking forward to the next game. I would have nightmares just thinking about it.

It could also play on his mind knowing we are down by 4-6, and hes missed 3 kicks. It could be one of the reasons he forces the pass or tries too hard at times, make up for his mishaps with the boot. Maybe.

Let someone else worry about it. He seriously cant be our best.

I reckon tuqiri should be the man to go to for the goalkicking duties.

Madunit- happy to give Tuqiri a go. That would minimise disruption to the team at present. Teflon has to accept Benji is not a natural goal kicker and no amount fo tutoring can make that happen. At best Benji is a fill in if the main kicker is off the field.

Tuqiri would also be responsible for better position of his tries should he remain on the wing, if he knows he is kicking it he would cream it for every cm possible.

I recall several occasions where the tank has dived over and grounded the ball without a defender within 10m of him. I even recall a couple cases where he knew he should have gone infield and got up after initially grounding the ball and tried to better his position, didnt work.

Keith Galloway barges over the tryline right under the sticks, the Tigers have the conversion from right in front to level the scores in the 79th minute.

Galloway lines it up, he strikes it.... it's a shank and hits the upright, the touchies wave the flags down and the Tigers lose by 2 points.
