Whether the maths add up or otherwise, we are no where near making the top 8 this year.

We are better off moving the cancer and the plodders out of the club now and blood players for next year so that they will have some NRL experience at the start of next year instead of going in cold.

Why on earth would we sack him? Money for nothing?

Swap him for another player - Shillo would be ideal and the Raiders might actually go for it (also on an expiring contract).

If we can't swap him and will have to pay him for the year anyway, let him play Real NRL. Don't reward his big baby tanty.

Is it sad that even though it makes perfect sense to swap BJ with Shillo... I have zero faith in anyone at the club to put 2 and 2 together on this one? It seems f**king obvious to me... not that Shillo would do that much for us this year, it would be far better than running BJ out there week after week when he visibly does not give a shit what happens out there.

So one of the few players who tries his best each week (even if he does make mistakes) is being honest about his situation - and you want to get rid of him?

*complains the players don't put in*

*wants to get rid of one of the players who put in*

Logic.

There is no doubt that BJ puts in each week. No player in the team runs as hard and puts their body on the line like him. However Stone has some questions to answer. To threaten to drop BJ for round one as a result of him not taking the off season seriously is a good thing, but he needed to drop him for round one. I'm a primary school teacher and if I told a child that they will receive a lunch time detention for not acting like a member of the class and then changed my mind, it would result in the other students thinking that they will be able to push the boundaries more. Talk is cheap, actions are required. It appears that stone would rather get along than be the leader of the organisation.

Wasn't he quite fat during pre-season. Even moreso than he is now I mean.

Joey for Shillington - good deal I reckon. We have a heap of backs and we aren't going to have him next year any way. If we can get a quality forward now we should jump at the offer.

Wow so they actually were looking into this but it's appearing unlikely.

Shillington has been a top 5 prop in the last month IMO. We're stupid if don't take him off their hands.

Honestly? I don't see missing out on Shillington as any sort of massive disappointment. He's had a stack of injuries and a few good games in 2015 is hardly convincing. I'd take him, of course we need better front row stocks on the bench but he's just another band aid solution.

To think Prop is one of our weakest areas and we have also lost Stockwell, this decision is mind blowing.

The club really doesn't want to improve itself.

So they're reasoning is they don't want to sign shillington to a long term contract due to his age...

How old was Jeremy smith when we first signed him to a three year deal?

Such hypocrisy. Many stupid. So Knights :(

I...

Why...

I just don't understand why the Knights would knock this back?
They are losing BJ anyways (which is perhaps a good thing, im certainly not a fan, and certainly dont want Shillo to leave us this year), and you can either get nothing for him, or a guy who ran all over the park to the tune of 200+ yards last week... and they decided nothing is a better option?
What's f**king wrong with your club?!
