You've got it mate! Ivan Cleary! A bloke who was a complete lemon at 3 clubs (including your own) until he waltzed in a took a rag tag bunch of misfits who were plucked from absolutely nowhere to the ultimate success.
Gus is just creating a media diversion to take the attention away from all the positive press about the Bulldogs. He’s always big about the difficulty of playing with the burden of expectation and it’s his way of stopping the media pumping up the Bulldogs’ tyres too much. Just taking some attention away from the Bulldogs.
It’s great when he talks up and young player then next thing they are signed for bulldogs, or panthers, or warriors, or roosters, or whoever he goes and helps next. Tigers could use some help, beginning of last season he rabbitted on about how can they improve if they don’t change their roster

He'll go when he runs out of credits. At the minute I'm thinking he probably has a few.
I remember him saying on his podcast at the back end of 2018 (after he'd sacked Hook) that Ciraldo would be the head coach in 2019. When the truth was he had arranged for Bennett to take over but in the end was gazumped by the board who brought back Ivan Cleary. It was the last straw for him at Penrith.
Not saying that I necessarily disagree with him.
Ciraldo needs to ensure he goes to bed early next year, turning up in the mornings looking tired won't bode well.
