There are a lot of things that only apply when a try is scored.....

Shepherd, ten in the bins for foulies, there are plenty more.

Best team won,penalty correct.

Yes we know the best team won..that has been posted countless times, the point is regardless of where a penalty occurs it should be awarded.
If this happened 40m down field, and a player scored then what??

But thats not the point. The point is, Was BOWEN impeded?

Thats the Q that the video ref had to ask. And he had the right answer.

And where was Wade supposed to go, standing still, to the left,to the right some defender would of have been impeded

Why did he have to go anywhere? Stand still and not walk into the Cowboys line.

that's not the question at all

players are always impeded by the marker as it is physically impossible for them to vanish into thin air after playing the ball

Rather hard to stand still when you are leaning forward after playing the ball and pushed from behind

bullsh*t. You can't put the ball on the ground and play it without walking forward? That's what you are supposed to do.

"Pushed from behind?" What the hell are you on about now? If Riddell pushed into him it's a no try as well.

Ahh yes, play it without walking forward..just like we see every weekend..
Riddell passed him on the left, but there was a bump..hardly deliberate and again what you see week in week out

Incosistent rulings? How about when he said if you say one more word you will be off and then doesn't send him. FFS You got beat by a better team. Get over it.

The swinging arm? Another example. That was a terrible cheap shot.

You played like a bunch of cats in the 2nd half. Rather than blaming the ref or video ref, take it on the chin.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Not one team has "lost" to the Cowboys in their whole existence, its always been the refs fault, touchies fault, David Gallop's fault etc etc.

tis a sad day when im agreeing with ink, simon and saab and its not a R&BK bashing thread but they are spot on

McKinnon advances off his mark, and with the use of his hands impedes Bowen from attempting a tackle, would he have stopped Riddell? Hell No. Given that piece of information, do the rules make total sense? Hell no. But was the call correct according to the rule - YES

As said the better team won anyways

It was borderline, but ultimately the correct call was made. Bowen was impeded, McKinnon should have done better to clear the play the ball area.

how? by growing wings and flying out of the ruck?

FFS read the post the better team won..to paraphrase Brian Smith from the press conference, Parramatta shot themselves in the foot..but also took several shots to the back.

Fair decision. You have no right pushing into the marker defender after playing the ball. He gave Bowen no chance of making a tackle. Irrespective of whether he could have or not, he was denied the possibility through illegal play.

No try.
