So now the burden of proof lies with the defendant?

Good one.

You’re right with one thing: sigh :pensive:

To clarify, as the Chooks’ had an indifferent start to the season, it’s premiership odds also lengthened.

Maybe not astronomically, however, it certainly wasn’t as good as what it has been over the past month or so.
Jimmy, refer to your top 8 for fun post. Hmmmm

Appears to be a lot of crowd favourites in this game , their fans will be coming out of the woodwork for this G.F. I hear that young Ruldolp Murdoch will be flying out and down to watch the game and shall be attending a TPA bbq afterwards ( whatever the f**k that is ? ) .
Gareth, i begged you to post a let's support our team post in week 2 to follow up your amazing work in week 1.

Still can't forgive you.

But still.......After we obliterated the donkeys in week 1 finals, I went out and bought a you beaut bbq, sun shade, gas cylinder, bar fridge, and more dragon flags and streamers.

This Sunday was going to be better than 2010. Way better.

This could be our greatest moment.

Told my own adult son I couldn't mind the grandkids this Sunday, such was my anticipation.

Bought some deck chairs, got a long tv cable, set it all up on the deck outside.

20 minutes to go in week 2 vs rabbits, I was smiling.

We were home.

Then boom, nothing.

Now I am not even going to watch my 2 most hated teams in any sport in the world.

Got Jim's mowing coming around, i am going to watch the buffolo grass grow with him over a beer.

Not going to watch two cheating filthy grub clubs play each other.

Or I might watch replays of Hunts last play option vs Souths, or the strip they put on who was it again.....

Wasn't that impressed with Roosters against Souths to be honest, Roosters defensively were very good but Souths were terrible kept making errors at key moments. I think Storm will win and fairly convincingly to I will be going for them to especially now Slater looks to be suspended anyway Storm by 14 Smith Clive Churchill medallist.

Does anyone think Slater will actually be suspended and miss the game? Surely he can't play, imagine the uproar after the debacle of the Player of the Origin Series then getting off a blatant shoulder charge.

Imagine if it was JWH or Fifita or anyone who the media portray as grubs, they would be suspended no questions asked (even though Slater (and Smith) are the grubbiest players in the game yet the media do not make any mention of what the fans can clearly see).

If the media have their way the answer is No and they cant get enough of their opinion to support him. If that is not trying to influence an outcome I dont know what is, just like the change in the NRL ref crackdown mid season. He will get off on semantics, they say his arm was trying to wrap on his side at impact and they have vision of similar tackles not being charged. (which is true).
The inconsistent MRC and NRL judiciary and NRL strikes again and Billy's top legal defence will be money worth spending. It is the NRL's fault trying to big play themselves with the big crackdown in making a rule and doing some back peddaling since it's introduction saying Ohh..it was not really bought in for those type of tackles etc

Agree.
If Slater isn’t suspended it will stink.
With Cronk likely out they may even it out and be more inclined to give him 1 match out, which makes it even more suss.
There’s always stink around Melb.
A whole year of footy and all the news is on Slater.
Media stinks, NRL stinks.
Mary stinks.

Slater irks me, always has.
But.....it will make the game a more exciting spectacle if he plays, and it should guarantee the RoRteRs are put to the sword, albeit by another rorting team.
Hate Storm, don’t like Slater, Smith, Bellyache, don’t like RoRteRs, Cronk, Tedesco, don’t like any of them.

Having said that, it won’t bring me to tears if the purple cheaters win..... but it will if Politis’s mob wins.
So if Slater helps slay the RoRteRs.....well and good!!

God save me.

Slaters defense team has put up some very strong arguments for acquittal.

Wouldn't surprise me if it went either way.

The panel is made up of Bob Linder, Mal Cochrane and Sean Garlic. Linder and Cochrane are both Queenslanders. I think every Queenslander has said that Slater should should get off. Most people I speak to think that Slater should be suspended, but they also think that he will get let off.
