Cloning players is cheating. \\\\:D/

Plus, any side with Mundane in it should automatically be disqualified.

Manly 96 was pretty special, conceeded 8pts a game from memory
Ridge
Hopoate
Innes
Hill
Moore
Lyons
Toovey
Gillespie
Sedaris
Carroll
Menzies
Gartner
Kosef

was a bloody handy starting pack, with a magician like Cliffy able to put the back to great use on the back of it, and with Ridge, 4 pts usually turned to 6

But nowhere near as many internationals ans SOO reps...

Are you serious?

Slater - AUS/QLD
Turner - NSW
Folau - QLD/AUS
King - NSW/AUS
Quinn - NSW
Inglis - QLD/AUS
Cronk - AUS
White - AUS/NSW
Smith - AUS/QLD
Cross - NSW/AUS
Crocker - AUS/QLD
Hoffman - NSW/AUS
Johnson - AUS/QLD

Kaufusi - AUS/NSW
Blair - NZ
Smith - NZ
Lima - NZ

There was only 1 bloke who didn't play rep - and that was Clint Newton (and probably wouldn't make the Top 17 looking at the above).

15 Internationals, 17 Rep players.

Bloody awesome team.

Quinn and Turner only made their SOO debuts this year not last year.
So did Ben Cross, and he has never played for Australia
Brett White has never played for Australia.
Kaufusi played for QLD not NSW

Half that Broncos side will be remembered as the best players in their era. The Storm squad is great, don't get me wrong... but names like Lima, Turner, White etc will never be spoken in the same aura as Renouf, Tallis or Walters etc.

as a Dragons supporter i think the Parramatta early 1980s team was pretty special ..

one of the best backlines i can ever remember ...

Taylor, Grothe, Cronin, Ella, Liddiard, Kenny, Sterling

plus forwards

Price, Wynn, Sharp, Mares, Edge, Jurd ..

not too bad ... but for real teams .. go back to the 50s, 60s :)

So no ones going to remember Johnson, Folau, Inglis, Slater, Smith, Cronk? Righty-o...

94 Raiders

Has 5 players considered to be the best (or close to) of all time in their respective positions: Meninga, Daley, Stuart, Clyde, Walters.

Supplemented with Internationals and SOO reps: Mullins, Furner, Nagas, Wiki, Croker etc.

97 hooker was John Driscoll for most of the season except he got injured right at the end of the season or in the finals ... can't really remember.

No... Not in the same breadth as the players mentioned previously. Smith yes. Slater, Folau, Inglis if they stay in the game and keep current levels up. Cronk and Johnson, no offence to them, but no chance.

Knights had a pretty decent group in 2000.

Johns, Kennedy, Buderus with Gidley, Parsons, Rauhihi, Perry, Simpson, MacDougall, Albert, Matt Johns, Tahu, Fairleigh, Butterfield, Hughes, O'Davis.

North Sydney in the 90's were one of the best sides to not win a comp
Seers
Roy (he was sh*t)
Ikin
Beutner
Dallas
Florimo
Taylor

Soden
Larson
Muir
Fairleigh
Moore

Forgetting a prop sorry, but yeah a damn good side who were reasonably unlucky not to win a comp.

Forward pack tho
Cayless
Wing
Cusak
Morely
Fitzgibbon
Ricketson

crocker and Flannery on the bench, pretty damn good side

Whoever is suggesting Panthers and Tigers are kidding themselves. Same as Bulldogs. Sure, Panthers and Tigers won the comp once, but the next year the Tigers didnt even make the finals. Neither Bulldogs. And looking at the Panthers team, it is NOwhere near as good as a Storm/Broncos/Manly team.
