"It is understood Inglis walks away from the final two years of his contract, meaning his salary won’t be included in the club’s cap.

The former Queensland and Kangaroos representative will continue to work with the club in a variety of different roles, including in the football department. “Money doesn’t make you happy. It’s people around you that make you happy. Money doesn’t drive you... I’m not money-driven,” Inglis said."

For me fitness affecting his consistency and ability to play his preferred position later in his career is the thing that will keep him from Immortal status.
Successive coaches should have pushed him to get that weight down and keep it down. He was an absolute monster at peak fitness. Did things to opposition players we'll be lucky to ever see again.

Once your knees are f**ked, it’s more difficult to consistently keep up the intensity required to get to his peak fitness

The reason the Smiths, Johns, Cronks, Beetsons, Sterlings, Lazarus', Rapers, Thurstons, Clydes exist is to pass to....

Reg, Fulton, Lockyer. Kenny, Rogers, Mal, Daley, Renouf.

Then there is Inglis, the man they fear.

I will always remember Greg for:

  • Accidentally playing for the wrong state in SOO
  • Accidentally getting a boat
  • Accidentally signing with the Broncos
  • Accidentally attempting a field goal when two behind
Good Luck Greg

You should follow accounting, fascism and inferiority complex, you are a natural.

Like Greg at League.

You want a boat, go earn one, bean counter.

See ya GI, never liked the bunnies but that year you took them to the title made me a fan unless they play one of the teams I like.

I mean its good when they f**k up any of the Queensland teams like Brisbane or the Storm + the sharks, Manly and the Bulldogs.

Take it easy sunshine.

Not an accountant and not into boating.

GI Is undoubtedly the best centre I have seen and this is without doubt. Not only was he the difference in so many State of Origins he made Darius Boyd the highest try scorer in Origin history.

But on the other side he has had some amusing turns also.

A lot more pressure on the knees when you're 10-20kg overweight too. Bit of a catch 22.

That said, he was totally dominant from debut to 2015 and even with flaws in his late career he was still a powerful force on the field. Had a good year in 2018 after an injury ruined 2017 and a mixed 2016. He is a loss for the Rabbitohs and the sport.

Indeed went to 4th Qld club. After a few games in Brisbane school then a season for Norths.

Need footage of that year, scored like 15 tries from kick returns, set up many too.

These were not kids he was playing, made them look like it.
I remember watching him running down the sideline for Norths. It was just fend, fend fend, fend... score.

Funny that nor is Greg, ever seen him on the mythical boat?

GI Is undoubtedly the best centre

No best back 5 player, they work around him. Can play 6 if required. Best a fullback.

Greg at fullback with Greg at centre is better than Slater at fullback and Greg at centre, but you cannot have two.

Then for Souths Greg at fullback wins premiership.

The ultimate weapon.

But on the other side he has had some amusing turns also.

Yeah people like to be fascists about off field stuff. Who got paid, silly quotes. Like you know, good for you.

I will simply remember the best natural runner, I have ever seen to date.

Also anyone want to volunteer to be tackled by Greg?

His defence puts ever all to shame, name a better one.

Is forgotten as he scores, sets up and scores tries..
