If Greg Inglis is forced to play rugby union France because of the salary cap etc. then the NRL is officially the worst run sport in the world.

Greg Inglis is almost the NRL's #1 asset.

He isn't being forced out by the salary cap, he has just walked out on two deals in the last 5 months (Storm and Broncos)

BTW, almost every sport in the world has a salary cap (bar European Soccer)

the AFL, NRL, Aussie Union, NFL, MLB, NBA, Aussie Soccer all have some kind of salary cap.

 @ having Inglis on a 190K base...were they trying to claim the long service concession Lockyer did to have his base salary at 250K?

In all honesty though, I'd rather see Inglis stay in the NRL then piss off to France, hope Souths can work something out.

Still a bit iffy about the source, whatever it takes to sell papers... especially a news limited newspaper.

Maybe there should be an investigation into Souffs after this, obviously they were trying to be shifty, except Crowe ruined it.
There's a big difference between the $190k they were claiming he was on and the $600k Crowe was crowing about.

Isn't Burgess supposed to be on a small contract as well? yeah right.

NEW South Sydney recruit Greg Inglis has wasted no time getting into the swing of things on the Sydney social scene - moving and shaking at the trendy Ivy Pool bar on Tuesday night.

Inglis was spied rubbing shoulders with new teammate Sam Burgess and "The Man" who is credited with helping to guide him into the Redfern bunker - boxer Anthony Mundine.

The trio were all part of Foxtel's 100 Days of Summer party, with other guests including Matt Shirvington, Ruby Rose, Lee Furlong, smoking hot PR girl Roxy Jacenko, All Saints glamour Magdalena Rose and Charlotte Dawson.

MMMM....no.

MLB has no salary cap.

The NFL salary cap is like $185m

The NBA has a luxury tax system that allows teams to go over the salary cap, but then they pay that amount in tax back to the NBA which then gets dispersed among the other clubs.

AFL cap is $7.95m

Union...they have a centralised representative contracts, hardly salary cap.

Aussie Soccer...who gives a f**k.

So your argument is mute.

THe fact of the matter is the structure of the NRL Salary Cap is so behind the times it is ridiculous, and the reason for this is because the administrators of this game are so dumb, that they've been underselling this game for years that we don't have the injection of funds to be able to afford to fix the salary cap.

The solution to this is either privatise all clubs, or get off their asses and get the media contract we deserve to be able to afford a doubling of the salary cap.

this aint about salary caps, its about wankers being caught out.
Stuff fat boy Inglis, he will never be one of the greats with the attitude he has. Ihe position he is now in is his fault and he can rot in hell.
He will be quickly forgotten and no one will care.

I'd like to have a massive LULZ at Bunniesman's expense and also make special mention to Rusty as well. Two arrogant c**ks that shot their load too early :lol::lol::lol:

Bunniesman

It's a shame though, looks like we will lose one of our best talents to the other codes.

I will say though, Parramatta are going to make a huge push now I bet; they are now the only club that could afford his whole salary under the cap.

Karma's a bitch - Suck it up Rusty and BunniesBoy.

Souths going off too early once again. Maybe they should try that nasal delivery stuff.
