He isn't being forced out by the salary cap, he has just walked out on two deals in the last 5 months (Storm and Broncos)
BTW, almost every sport in the world has a salary cap (bar European Soccer)
the AFL, NRL, Aussie Union, NFL, MLB, NBA, Aussie Soccer all have some kind of salary cap.
MMMM....no.
MLB has no salary cap.
The NFL salary cap is like $185m
The NBA has a luxury tax system that allows teams to go over the salary cap, but then they pay that amount in tax back to the NBA which then gets dispersed among the other clubs.
AFL cap is $7.95m
Union...they have a centralised representative contracts, hardly salary cap.
Aussie Soccer...who gives a f**k.
So your argument is mute.
THe fact of the matter is the structure of the NRL Salary Cap is so behind the times it is ridiculous, and the reason for this is because the administrators of this game are so dumb, that they've been underselling this game for years that we don't have the injection of funds to be able to afford to fix the salary cap.
The solution to this is either privatise all clubs, or get off their asses and get the media contract we deserve to be able to afford a doubling of the salary cap.
