the dragons worked out their sums and put the contract in front of the nrl to get full approval before putting pen to paper & having gasnier back at the club..


the bunnies have paraded inglis around in club colours, provided different $$ amounts in the press here and overseas, and have not yet lodged the contract with the nrl, despite saying he's signed...

Graham Richarson has apparently said that they haven't even lodged the contract with the NRL so they couldn't have blocked the contract yet.

Still, it is not set in stone until the deal is ratified by the NRL.

No I want players to be paid their worth like I'd want a carpenter or marketing exec to be paid their worth. The NRL are restricting trade and this bullsh*t wouldn't be tolerated anywhere else in the world. Even in 3rd world countries where football rules, players are paid their worth.

I agree, the situations are different. We can't put the contract forward to the NRL until Greg gets a release from the Storm. What is interesting is that News reported that the deal was for $1.8 million before Crowe appeared on Jay Leno.

Yet, Crowe serves only to confirm what News claimed to have already known and now there is a problem? Are we supposed to be stupid? Most of you around here are, clearly. But this isn't the first time that News have contradicted themselves in the interests of selling newspapers. They do it all the time and this would not be the first time they have been caught lying.

Notice that the article that I have posted a link to is dated the 13th. Hando appeared on Jay Leno on the 16th. And, to top it off, the CEO of the NRL has said this morning that they have not even seen the contract.
