When Slater and that Winger made that fumble he decided to pipe up with something along the lines of "even the best make mistakes".... WTF?!!! It's not his job to provide his opinions over our loud speaker, as much as I hate the Storm, no team should be subjected to sledging over the PA from a sh*tty ground announcer.

I also got p!ssed off that they felt the need to tell the crowd exactly when to stand up as Hindy entered the field. Seriously, the whole set-up is insulting to the members who have to keep listening each week. It really rubs salt into the wounds of losing having a knob jockey like him behind the Mic.

it all started when he was reading out the team names calling Melbourne players "champions" and the like. If he wanted to enhance the team lists calling them "cheats" would have been more what I expect from a parra home game.

I am glad they also told everyone in the crowd to stand and acknowledge Hindy as he ran on the field otherwise we would of all just sat there in silence.

With the game in the balance and parra needing to lift it is also not the best time to start reading adds over the PA, the crowd was trying to get into the game only to be blurted out by stupids adds.

Mark Warren was a disgrace last night, with 30 minutes to go he told the fans the score of 18 nil and then said, the words I can never say after 1998, "Look at the Score board".

From then on we didn't score a point.

Sorry for my superstition, but never do I want to hear those words when a game is going on. Especially not from the ground announcer.

I was watching the Parra-Cowboys away game at home with my Dad earlier this year.
Whe the Eels had a lead of 16 with about 20 mins to go he said "Well, the Eels have won this one". He said the exact same thing in the 1998 Prelim.

I screamed at him telling him to shut the Hell up and never say anything like that again.

He spent the next 20 mins apologising again and again when the Cowboys kept scoring try after try after try.

I now refuse to watch Eels games with him.

The Brisbane game at Parra, there were a few Broncos fans who were making fun of him, copying everything he was saying. One of them was encouraging his kid to do likewise.

I am so over this guy. He has no idea what he is doing! I cant handle the talking( usually crap) when we are in the middle of the game . Save your bloody rants for half time and breaks in play. He was also talking most of the way through the toyota cup. I would have to have heard at least 20 times last night , people telling him to shut the hell up. I sit near him, gotta love his enthusiasm. I think it was the Warriors game in 03 where we had to come from behind and started cheering on the fence "PARRA PARRA PARRA". The crowd was quiet before then.

Also the only one cheering at a NSW Shield game.

Yep, get that bloke at my train station that says "the train on platform 4 goes to .." he does a far better job. Nails it every time. ;-)

When he said "look at the scoreboard" on Monday night I nearly jumped off the grandstand. This guy is the biggest disgrace. I think a 5 year old understands the idea of a ground announcer is to report the interchanges and try scorers. When the guy can't even get that right, I think it should be an instant dismissal. On Monday he announced Etu as the try scorer for Lasalo's try. Then only after Burt kicked the goal he apologised to Etu for getting it wrong. BUT HE DIDN'T EVEN MENTION WHO SCORED (LASALO)!!!

I think he might have a mental problem.

The Penrith announcer is the only other announcer I can't bear. But at least he makes it difficult for 'travelling' fans to enjoy the game, especially with that dumb growl that annoys me to no-end. But, when your own announcer is praising the opposition as champions and death-riding your own team, you know there's a problem.

If only the ANZ Stadium game was a home game. The ground announcers box is on the left hand side of Bay 435 I think in the Gold Members section.

I was going to create a sign and sit right in front of the box, when spoke I would hold up the sign. STFU!
