hmmph

The prosecution has an article from the number 1 cricketing website affirming they conferred, testimony from the Australian captain and an image of the batsmen looking back for confirmation

The defense has itself saying 'I didn't see anything and I didn't hear the commentators talking about it'

Sorry mate- Judge Judy wouldn't even hear that case out

Sorry you would lose,

you got no evidence , the batsman looked at the non striker talking ot the bowling umpire then look at the square leg umpire while he was walking off

Next time think of a providing better evidence

This whinging bollocks is so tiresome

It isn't whinging; it is discussion. That's what the forum is for.

"I think you saw from Haddin's reaction that he knew something was wrong so he probably should have made more noise about it," Vettori told NZPA after the win. "It is [disappointing] because I thought that was the partnership that was going to win the game, so it put us under a bit more pressure. We've just got to make sure it doesn't happen again."
Haddin called Vettori's response "poor" and "low", but maintained the ball hit the stumps before his gloves. "I'm pretty disappointed in Dan that he didn't have the decency to come and speak to me after the game if he had an issue with it rather than air his thoughts in a press conference," Haddin told AAP. "I think the polite or the decent thing to do would be to come and ask me. He's played a lot of cricket now and he knows too well what happens with these situations, so I thought it was a bit low. I think it's quite poor."
He said he was unaware at the time that his hands were ahead of the wickets. "After looking at the replay, my hands were in front of the stumps," he said. "But the ball, I'm 100% positive, hit the bails first and then came up into my gloves."

merkin - "decency, polite, poor, low"

and then he shows he doesn't know the rules FFS

Why doesn't he do the sensible thing and shut the f**k up, it will go away eventually...

he's implied he was a cheat ... you'd want your reputation upheld wouldn't you?

This whinging bollocks is so tiresome

It isn't whinging; it is discussion. That's what the forum is for.

so calling someone a cheat is discussion? that's whinging

when it happens in a split second when he's trying to anticipate and give himself every chance of getting the ball as fast as he could in the hope of a stumping or whatever he's being branded a cheat

bottom line is the balls missed the stumps and haddins gloves hit the bails..even a blind man would see that on replay..thats why i think haddin should shut the heck up and accept that he knew and didnt do jack crap about it..i go for the aussies but mate, thats low from haddin..if you know ur wrong u dont have a whinge when someone else says you were in the wrong, which haddin was..now thats low because he knows he was wrong and wont admit it when replays clearly show it was his gloves which flicked the bails off

Haddin f**ked up, in a press conference what is Vetorri supposed to say... "oh, I am going to have a chat wioth Brad, then I'll get back to you"

That might have been within the spirit of the game - something you made mention about earlier.

Funny how you say we are whinging, yet I've heard nothing from you except whinging, bitching & moaning about even having to play this series.

are we going down this path again?

you still haven't refuted any claim except for "we lead 6-5" ... it's all well and good to have won more games but who has won more series?

What claims need to be refuted? We are the number 4 ranked ODI team. Your team is ranked number 2. These teams are close on the table, therefore it is a worthy contest against two evenly matched opponents.

Also in all this confusion. I thought it was Steve Bucknor at the bowler's end. If they did reverse the decision I wouldn't be arguing the toss, because looking at the replay it looked dodgy to say the least but it looked ok on normal speed.

it also takes up valuable rest oppurtunity

There's a few weeks in April/May where the players could take a nice rest - oh wait, cashing in on the IPL trumps all thoughts of tiredness and burnout.

(mind you, having said that, if I was in their position I'd give up a bit of a holiday for an extra few hundred $k ... but then I'd think I was smart enough not to whinge about being overworked in my day job).

Re the Haddin thing, I doubt he cheated intentionally, but he's a goose if he thinks after seeing the evidence that he's somehow in the right and Vettori has done him wrong. Haddin should just admit he was wrong. Ponting and CA should make him do it.
